Studio | No Bedrooms | sleeps 2
The studio apartment is situated in the Fenals beach area of Lloret de Mar. Fenals is a more quiet and family oriented part of the Lloret resort with access to a beautiful, long sandy beach. The apartment is less than 250m away from the beach and is located in an attractive and well maintained development of "Los Fresnos", which is surrounded by manicured gardens. It is on the 3rd floor and there is elevator access.
Extremely well located, all local amenities and supermarket are within a 5-6 minute walk and yet it feels secluded and private. With sea views from the terrace and access to a large communal pool, a light and airy interior, modern kitchen and bathroom, the studio apartment is a lovely holiday spot on the Costa Brava and it would suit a couple, two friends or family with one small child (a sofa-chair can be made into a bed).

BALCONY - large covered balcony with outdoor table and seating. Sea views and views over the gardens, swimming pool and pine trees. Very nice to sit in the mornings/evening, eat al fresco and enjoy the mediterranean atmosphere. (One nice thing about the aspect of the balcony and the flat is that it does not get the worst of the afternoon sun, so it is not too hot in the evenings.)
SWIMMING POOL - the apartment has access to a very nice large communal swimming pool, surrounded by trimmed grass and with outdoor shower. The swimming pool and the gardens are well maintained by a caretaker who looks after the entire "Fresnos" development and is on the premises daily.
Fenals is not far away from the centre of Lloret de Mar, which is a large resort with many dining and entertainment options. Its nightlife attracts a largely young crowd from all over Europe, but it can also be quite loud in the evenings as a result. Staying in Fenals provides easy access to Lloret, yet sufficient distance from the action to get a good night's sleep. There are a couple of nice restaurants on Fenals beach, so there is no need to go to Lloret in order to have something to eat. A large supermarket is only a 5-6 minute walk from the apartment, which includes a bakery, so you can stock up on all essentials and even fresh sea food.
From the apartment, a leisurely walk of approximately 20 minutes will bring you into the midst of Lloret's bustle. There is no need for a car. For those holidaymakers who prefer the quiet life, Lloret de Mar is can be nice to explore on foot during the day. Behind the touristy sea promenade, some old Catalan cultural treasures can be found. The locals are proud of their heritage and there is a typical Catalan dance every week on the main square which is worth a visit.
On the other side of Fenals beach, there are a couple of smaller beaches, very pretty and secluded (e.g. Santa Christina). There are also the famous Santa Clotilda Gardens only 20 minutes walk from the flat.
The Costa Brava/Catalonia/Barcelona region
The Costa Brava, meaning Wild Coast, stretches 65 kilometres north east of Barcelona to the French border. The pine-clad and rocky coastline gives it that wild look and if you have a car you can seek out the many wide beaches or small sandy coves. The Costa Brava receives a Mediterranean climate with long, hot summers and mild, winters.
Barcelona is not only the Catalonian region's capital but also Spain's second city. The port city has a long history and thus many interesting sights to explore. As well as an aerial tramway up a local mountain for panoramic views of the city, there are also the quirky spires of Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia church. The old city comprises of historic, baroque-style buildings and the long promenade, the Ramblas, has cafes, restaurants and bird and flower markets. The historic waterfront boasts not only the biggest monument in the world to Christopher Columbus, but also a maritime museum.
Lloret de Mar
Gerona city is the main populated area at the heart of the province that shares its name with many historical buildings - one being the cathedral in the main square and a Jewish Quarter of narrow streets and interesting shops. The Quart District is the place for buying local crafts, particularly the traditional and locally created black and green ceramics. The city has an art museum and history seekers can find the Roman baths and the ancient Sant Pere de Galligants church.
