Villa Jazmin is an ideal base for a family or a group looking for a relaxing or activity holiday. The villa is located within a small community, 9 kilometres from Lliria, in the foothills of the Sierra Calderona - excellent for walking, horse-riding, or mountain-biking - and with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. The villa is just 35 minutes drive from Valencia airport, or 2 hours from Alicante.

The property comprises 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large lounge/diner, with TV & Entertainment Centre, and a fitted kitchen. The villa is set in grounds which contain terraced gardens with citrus trees, an 8m x 3.5m swimming pool, a secluded rear terrace, a huge front balcony with fabulous views, and shaded seating areas. The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Valencia Province region

Valencia is Spain's 3rd largest city after Madrid & Barcelona, and has something for all tastes.

Sun worshippers will love its long sandy beaches; those with an interest in history will love its cathedral, basilic (claiming to house the Holy Grail!), and its ancient fortifications, including the Torres del Serrano; but if your tastes are more modern, then head to the City of Arts & Sciences, with its futouristic Science Museum, Opera House, IMAX Theatre, and the Oceanographic Centre - the largest of its kind in Europe, with 7 different zones representing the Worlds Oceans.

Wildlife lovers can also head to the Albufera - a huge inland lake, just South of the City, and a haven for birds.

Valencia's biggest fiesta is "Las Fallas" - from 15th-19th March each year, the city is filled with 1000s of Satirical figurines and sculptures - many of them several stories tall, and costing hundreds of thousands of Euros to build. At midnight on 19th March, they are all burnt to the ground, and the preparation starts for next year's fiesta!


Temperatures range from mild in the Winter - frost is unusual, but not unheard of - to hot and dry in July and August (40 degrees is not unusual).

Lliria area

Lliria is the main town of the Turia valley, and has all the facilities you'd expect - bars, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. It's also renowned throughout Spain for its Music, and has two famous Music colleges, each with its own Band. There are regular concerts throughout the year featuring artists and bands from all over Spain, Europe, and beyond. The centre of Valencia is just a 40 minute drive away, although it's easier to take the Metro from Lliria (€4 return).

Further up the Turia valley are several interesting villages, including Chulilla, perched on the edge of a gorge which is popular with rock climbers, and Vilar del Arzobispo, which has several wineries in the town

Lliria's main festival is that of St Miguel, in the week leading up to September 21st. During this time the main square in the town has cultural events including Bands, Flamenco, Guitar playing, etc., while in the Pla del Arc, a large fair is set up, with food and craft stalls, and fairground rides.

A little further away, the town of Buñol holds the world-famous "Tomatina" fiesta in August - this is basically the world's biggest food-fight, with several tonnes of over-ripe tomatoes shipped in specially for the event (take your old clothes!)

Further details indoors:
The property has 3 double bedrooms. The Largest of these has a Kingsize Double bed, and the smallest has an ordinary Double. The middle room can be configured either as a Kingsize Double, or as two small singles.

The Bedrooms and lounge are airconditioned. For the winter months, the airconditioners double up as heaters, and there is a wood-burning stove in the Lounge.

There is a telephone in the lounge (incoming calls, and emergencies only).

Further details outdoors:
There is a large balcony at the front of the Property, a secluded terrace at the rear, which acts as a suntrap in the afternoons, as well as another seating area overlooking the garden, which contains several fruit trees (guests are welcome to eat the fruit when in season).

The Pool is to the north of the property, but far enough from it that it remains in the sun for the whole day.

There is a large BBQ on the Balcony for guests use, as well as a separate Paellero containing a cooking hearth.

There are steep steps from the driveway to the balcony, although these have handrails, but this makes it unsuitable for wheelchair users.

This is a non-smoking Villa.

You will be met at the Villa on arrival by an English caretaker who lives locally, and can answer any questions .

Strictly no smoking inside the property.

The villa is the owners' second home, and as such is furnished to a high standard. For this reason, we require a €350 security deposit - this will be refunded (less any damages) within 1 week of your departure. Alternatively, you can choose to pay a non-refundable €30 Damage Waiver.

The property was perfect - exactly as described. The decor and furnishings were beautiful and facilities excellent (particularly the pool). The remote location was exactly what we were after with great surrounding area to visit for day trips. The agent that met us was friendly and full of good advice on the villa and region as a whole. I would have loved to stay longer and would definitely like to go back for seconds! This property was the least expensive property we could find for the dates we wanted - however I dont believe I could have found a better villa for double the money! - Joanne C, Frome, July 2008

Lovely villa, contained everything we needeed. Days out at Sagunto beach - absolutely beautiful - clear, warm sea and sand; L'Albufera - stunning lake with plentiful birds including flamingos; Water sports at Benageber - we were the only ones on a huge lake with canoes and windsurfer - highly recommended; Film library enjoyed by all.
