About the home

Casa Bosque is the perfect holiday home for a large group searching for a high level of seclusion. It is situated on the top of a hill with a no more than tremendous view over the Catalan landscape. The decoration is refined and the house it self is roomy. It is surrounded with a large garden area, a barbecue zone and the swimming pool zone equipped with garden furniture; an arcade; the ancient threshing floor; a small chapel; and a fenced surrounding zone. Really a unique holiday home, for the ones appreciating the silence and the beauty of the nature.

Casa Bosque is a large secluded Farmhouse situated in a privileged place. On top of a hill, in its feet, there is the view is over La Baronia de Rialb Term and the Pyrenees in the background. The house is distributed into four floors: You enter at the ground floor, which has some seating groups and is decorated with beautiful restored articles from the history of the house. In the ground floor there is also a double room with bath authorized to disabilities. At the first floor there are two kitchens, two fireplaces, two dining rooms and two beautiful lounges. The renovation of the house has been made with the stunning view in mind. Hence one of the lounges has a huge window to the scenery. This exact spot must be perfect on a early morning or for enjoying a glass of the Local Cava before dining.

Casa Bosque is a big isolated Farmhouse inserted into a privileged place. On top of a hill, in its feet there is the Rialb Reservoir and the view is over La Baronia de Rialb Term, in La Noguera Region, with the Pyrenees in the background. It is surrounded for wide gardens really accurate: a barbecue zone and the swimming pool zone equipped with garden furniture; an arcade; the ancient threshing floor; a small chapel; and a fenced surrounding zone.

On the first floor you will also find 6 double rooms (4 of marriage and 2 of single beds) and three baths. In this same floor also there is a vaulted room, really suitable for children. On the second floor there are two bedrooms of single beds and a bathroom. And in the third and last floor there is also a bedroom of two beds. Some of the rooms has been made with French balconies so you can lie and enjoy the view while waking up!

Further details

40% deposit paid in advance within 3 working days days after reservation.
By cancellation more than 1 1/2 month before 50% of the deposit will be refunded. By cancellation less than
1 1/2 month before, the deposit will not be refunded. The rest of the rental fee will have to paid 4 weeks before arriving.

The price includes: electricity, heating, linen, towels and the final cleaning be departure.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia/Barcelona region

The house which is an authentic Catalan limestone villa, modernised with respect for the original style, is situated toward Barcelona. The house provides a perfect base for relaxation. Read a book, take a swim in the pool and enjoy the hot summer nights on the terrace with a glass of the local Cava or red wine from the nearby Penedes district.

The landscape at the entrance to the Pyrenees is dominated by small rivers, hills, fields and forest, which provides excellent conditions for a variety of sports- and outdoor activities, such as hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, angling, canoeing, river crafting or perhaps a visit to the owners farm.

Furthermore the central location in Catalonia makes every corner of province accessible in one-day excursions. From the Dali-museum in the north, the Costa Brava coastline and Barcelona in the south and further south Tarragon with its amphitheatre and universal studios amusement park for the kids. A generous and cosy region, with true cultural, gastronomical, artistic, historical, traditional and legendary treasures. Also a region for the playful who loves sport activities.

In the winter, the ski-resorts in Andorra and the Pyrenees is only a 45 minutes drive away. In the summer you can enjoy the tracks of the Pyrenees or for the adventures paragliding or climbing.
The spring (march-may) in Catalonia is sunny, green and comfortable warm. The daily temp. reaches 16-22 degrees.

The autumn (Sep.-Nov) is very warm in the beginning (Sep.) with a daily average temp. reaching 27 degrees. October and November has an average temp. starting at 22 in October ending with 17 in November.

The Lleida area

From their lodging quarters in Casa Bosque, visitors can make the most of the countless leisure opportunities offered by the municipality of the Barony of Rialb. Sail down the river Segre by boat or raft, climb some of the steep rock walls nearby, explore the zone on foot or bike (or hop on an old car and join the rally of old-time cars, by now almost a local tradition) or climb down the Forat del Buli, an unbeatable experience-these proposals are only some among the most interesting.

Cliff-Climbing at the Forat del Buli
The Forat del Buli is a gorge that cuts deep inside the Rialb's river basin, with an impressive natural area that has yet to be explored. Its land features make it ideal for adventure sports, such as cliff-climbing.

Not much disturbed by human presence, sunk in the peace and quiet of the woods, this natural place has put cliff-climbing at the forefront. You can practice it on your own or hire the services of any of the adventure sports companies that abound in the comarca.

#Take Advantage of the Rialb Dam
At the farther end of the Rialb river is a newly constructed dam, an ideal place for water sports like canoeing, sailing, or fishing.
As a plus, there are two fish farms along the river and the landscape is full of natural attractive.
Canoeing and sailing have almost become a tradition here, given the aptness of the surroundings. The river volume is always stable.
The Rialb river is also a perfect place for trout fishing: restocked trouts downriver and local-born trouts upriver. The latter may be fished but not killed, which is very important for the conservation of the indigenous species.

#Route of the Castles of Lleida
One of the most stimulating itineraries that Lleida has to offer is the "Route of the Castles: A Trip to the Past". These well-preserved fortresses waft visitors back in time to the Middle Ages, a period in which these lands marked the frontier between the Arab and Christian worlds.

The classic route of the Lleidatan castles includes 6 fortresses: Montsonís, in La Noguera; Montclar, in Urgell; Florejacs, Les Pallargues, and Vicfred, in La Segarra; and Mur, in Pallars Jussà.

Medieval castles and fortresses abound in the comarca; guided visits to the castles are a good opportunity to learn about the history of the so-called "Castile of Catalonia".

The Barony of Rialb is a large municipality with breathtaking landscapes and countless centenary hermitages, including the Romanic church of Santa Maria de Palau and the Monastery of Gualter. A total 23 Romanic churches sprawl over the zone, allowing the visitor to travel back in time and watch the historical monuments
