Rhos Ddu Cottage is situated in its own large, private grounds surrounded by open countryside with views of Snowdon and the Snowdonia National Park. From the cottage there are lovely country walks and safe cycle routes. The cottages provides the ideal place to relax and unwind in tranquil surroundings.

Rhos Ddu is four and a half mile from the seaside town of CRICCIETH with its two beaches divided by the castle on the headland. Criccieth has unique shops, excellent restaurants and a golf club. Also nearby is Llanystumdwy the boyhood village of David Lloyd George where also is the Rabbit Farm attraction which is a firm favourite for young families and a horse riding centre that takes rides along the beach.

PORTHMADOG is 9 miles away from which starts off the Ffestiniog and the Welsh Highland Railways. Near to Porthmadog you'll find the famous Black Rock Sands.

Within 40 minutes drive from Rhos Ddu Cottage you can visit Harlech Castle and Caernarfon Castle, Portmeirion, Snowdon Mountain Railway, Llechwedd Slate Caverns, Inigo Jones Slateworks, Greenwood Forest Park, Glasfryn Parc Activity & Bowling Centre and Cabin Wood Paintballing Centre and much more.......

By request, fishing for brown trout is available and rough shooting during the Winter months

The accommodation has two double bedrooms on the first floor, with the Main Bedroom being an En-Suite with a luxurious twin seater steam / shower cabin. Main Bedroom also has a T.V . MAIN BATHROOM with a six jet whirlpool bath with a MIRA electric shower over

On ground floor there's a large kitchen/diner with quality kitchen units and NEFF appliances: fridge, electric oven & hob and microwave. Granite worktops with breakfast bar and dining area with table and comfortable seating. In the Utility room there is a freezer and a washer dryer and central heating boiler.

The pleasant lounge with an ornamental fireplace (no open fires) has comfortable seating, t.v;dvd; and ipod docking. Here you'll find information on attractions and activities in the area as well as books, jig-saws and games.

The property benefits from oil fired central heating through-out and is open all year. For Christmas and New Year traditional country decorations and a tree is provided.

A quality wooden cot and a high-chair can be provided free of charge, but linen and bedding for the cot are not supplied.

A well behaved pet is welcomed on condition that they are clean, fully house trained and would never be left unattended at the property.

Outside there are two patio areas with garden furniture, bbq, gazzebo, a bird feeding table, a lockable garden shed for bikes etc and a large lawned garden which is an ideal place to do some bird watching. The drive to the cottage is tarmaced and there is large parking for two cars outside the cottage.

The surrounding countryside provides total peace and seclusion.

Llanystumdwy

Criccieth is a popular, unspoilt little town. The town has won several floral competitions such as WALES IN BLOOM and is a clean and pleasant town with its award winning Blue Flag beach, castle, interesting unique shops, excellent restaurants, golf course and tennis court.

Near the castle you'll find the Cadwalader's Ice Cream Parlour which is world famous for its prize winning home-made ices.

Criccieth provides everything for the visitor.
