Bronfelin was built in the early 1800's and was sympathetically renovated in 2008. Every care has been taken to ensure your stay will be comfortable and a memorable one. It is fully central heated, with a wood burning stove and a Rayburn Range, you'll be kept cosy even on the sharpest of winter evenings.The accommodation sleeps five.

It is offered as a master bedroom with a king size oak bed with an en-suite shower room, a twin room which can be set up as a king size double bed and a single room, which share a family bathroom on the first floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with a Rayburn range, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine.

In the lounge there is a wood burning stove, flat screen DVD player, CD stereo with iPod docking station, board games and book library. Please note there is no television reception at the cottage just D.V.D player and a collection of D.V.Ds


Bronfelin is 1.5 miles from the town, which offers fine restaurants, Pubs and Shops.

This is a beautiful part of Wales, with stunning landscape, mines, castles and plenty of family attractions.
The cottage is ideally situated for the exploration of Mid Wales whether it be by foot, hoof or wheel. Trails are directly accessible from the cottage for those who want to venture into the mountains by foot or bike or simply take a stroll by the river.

Builth Wells is a 20 minute drive away and is home to the Royal Agricultural Show Grounds.
Brecon is known for the Brecon Beacons which is fantastic walking.

The Llanwrtyd Wells area

Llanwrtyd Wells boasts to be the smallest town in Britain with the biggest heart.

There are three pubs, a bar, and two award winning restaurants and a micro brewery. You'll find a well stock Spar shop, general store, a butchers, a garage with shop and 'In the Pink' with its internet cafe, local crafts and Tourist Information Centre. For a population of less than 800 it is well provided for.

Llanwrtyd Wells is home to some of the countries weirdest and more challenging sports created by locals for the rest of the world to enjoy and partake in.

“Gorgeous cottage and beautiful countryside.” My family and two friends stayed at Bronfelin holiday cottage from 27th December 2011 to 2nd January 2012, the cottage itself is tastefully decorated, extremely cosy, we loved the kitchen and the log fire in the living room. The view at the front of the house is lovely and so is the surrounding countryside, the village has a some great pubs and a superb butchers. The weather wasn't the greatest during our stay, but this didn't bother us too much as the cottage is so homely and a great place to come and relax, we loved the fact that we had no television, internet or mobile phone signal, it was blissfully quiet. Overall it is a liitle gem of a place.

“Ideal cottage, nice decor, clean, warm and in a perfect location” The cottage is in a lovely setting with stunning views of the surrounding hills and forests. It has ample offroad parking. Inside it is very clean and decorated to a high standard. The heating system is excellent with the addition of a log burning stove. The beds are very comfortable. Overall it was a real pleasure to stay in.

“The perfect 'getting away from it all' retreat.” An excellent self catering cottage. We found the location convenient (as we were competing on Wales Rally GB) and we needed to come and go early in the morning. We found the cottage to be warm, inviting and extremely well presented. All aspects of the house were spotless on arrival, and the greeting from the owners was enthusiastic and helpful. The cottage itself is tardis-like! From the outside it looks tiny, but it's a different story inside - where there was plenty of space and a fantastic kitchen - complete with Rangemaster. Despite staying only for the rally, we all remarked that the cottage was so nice that we would happily stay there again with our girlfriends/wives for a weekend retreat. The area is extremely peaceful and is situated in the heart of beautiful mid Wales. I would have no hesitation in recommending Bronfelin as an excellent s/c cottage.

There are no additional costs when you are staying at Bronfelin Holiday Cottage. All logs, oil, electric, linen and towels are included in the rental price.

Summer Rentals run friday to friday unless last minute.

There is a minimum rent of £180 for a short term stay.

There will be a discount on nightly rates when four, five and six nights are booked. Please contact for more information.

If you are filling a gap in bookings of less than seven days there will be a good discounted nightly rate.

We require a non refundable deposit of £100 to hold the booking. The balance is payable 60 days before arrival day. For bookings made within the 2 month period the full amount will be payable on booking.

Cancellation - more then 60 days lose deposit. Under 60 day lose 90 per cent of booking value.
