The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

Known as the Garden of Wales, Carmarthenshire boasts picturesque countryside, fantastic coast lines and wild life, superb rivers for fishing and is rich in good quality produce for fine dining.

Covering the regions of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire, West Wales boasts breath-taking landscapes and long stretches of unspoilt coast.

Ideal for a family holiday, the stunning countryside offers unparalleled walking trails, such as the Ystwyth Trail between Aberystwyth and Tregaron, and incredible waterfalls, notably at Devil’s Bridge, which can be reached in style on the old-fashioned steam railway.

Llanwrda

Caio is a small village in the middle of three market towns, Llandovery, Llandeilo and Lampeter and sits at the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Cambrian Mountain range. It is a beautiful area steeped in history and folklore with stunning scenery and wildlife.

Excellent, boutique shopping in Llandeilo - which has it's own chocolatier (even dog friendly chocolate!), designer shops, delicatessen and galleries.

Good Food - Plenty of good restaurants in the surrounding area, serving local produce. There is a double AA rosette award winning restaurant (The Plough Inn) within 15 mins drive as well as many other good quality dining. The local pub situated in the village of Caio is a warm and friendly pub, and offers good food.

Red Kite feeding centre nearby. The sight of a red kite isn't uncommon in the area thanks to a fantastic feeding station.

Walking and Mountain biking - limitless around the local area. Forests and trails galore as well as numerous National Trust properties and land for walking.

"An absolutely perfect place for a peaceful break."

Albert Mount is a beautiful place to stay - modern, spacious rooms, nicely decorated, huge fully equipped kitchen, lovely dining area - it had everything we needed! The bathroom was great as it had both a bath and a shower, and even with the spaciousness of the house, Albert Mount has a very cosy, homely feel. The sound system for the television and DVD player was brilliant - like having a cinema in the living room! The free WiFi was also handy. Albert Mount is located in a lovely secluded area of the West Wales countryside and is ideal for a peaceful break. The only bad thing about it was that we had to leave! Would definitely go back again, highly recommended.
