About this location

Carmarthenshire region

The region has two National Parks, one coastal, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and one mountainous, the Brecon Beacons National Park. There are also some of the best beaches in the country along the Carmarthenshire coast. The town of Laugharne is only 20 mins drive from Cefnmeurig, Tenby 30 mins and St Davids, 50 mins. Carmarthen is the oldest town in Wales with legends linked with Merlin the magician and has some interesting independent shops, market and museum. The region has numerous castles, some built by the Normans and others built by the Welsh Princes. Carmarthenshire is famed for it's gardens and the National Botanic Garden of Wales is well worth a visit. The 7 mile sandy beach at Pendine Sands is only 20 minutes away.

St Clears is a town steeped in legend and there is iron work sculpture doted throughout the town reflecting these stories. The Landsker Border Walking Trail is very close to Cefnmeurig but one can spend at least a day happily exploring the land around the farm. The town of Narberth with its shops and cafes is only 20 minutes away. Laugharne is always a popular town to visit as it is on the coast and because of its links with Dylan Thomas.

"Relaxing, comfortable cottage"

The cottage has a homely warm feeling, very relaxing even with two small children. Anne went to a lot of thought with the hamper and extras to make it a special holiday.… More

"Luxury accommodation, blessed peace and quiet."

First class personal service from owner, very helpful and friendly. Beautifully restored cottage/farmhouse, high class furnishings and equipment. Every comfort catered for and thoughtfully chosen. Equipment was first class and the bedding excellent, a real home from home. Welcome pack by far the best I've ever experienced, certainly enough for the first day or two, depending on size of party and appetites of course. Beautiful country location but still within easy reach of nearby gorgeous beaches and shops etc. So quiet and peaceful (except for two small grandsons!) No fear of disturbing neighbours thankfully. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Thank you very much Pamela and it was very good to hear that your important weekend went well. I was so pleased that I was able to meet you. I know I'm bias but I do think Cefnmeurig is a very special place. I hope to see you again in the not too distant future.
