There are superb walks in the area, the nearest and one of the most spectacular being the Ceredigion Coastal Path from the cottage, around the headland of Ynys Lochtyn (owned by the National Trust) and down to Llanrgrannog village, past Cilborth beach. If the tide is out, this is also a great opportunity to explore the eight bays along the coast of Llangrannog. And whenever you're within site of the coast, remember to keep an eye out for the local Cardigan Bay Bottlenose Dolphins as well.
Other attractions and activities in the area include surfing and body boarding at Llangrannog and Cilborth Bay, Cwmrhydneuadd Golf Club, Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park, Felinwynt Rainforest Centre and New Quay Honey Centre.
The Llangrannog area
This luxury holiday cottage near Llangrannog is set within 7½ acres of beautiful countryside and the heritage coastal path is easily accessed from the land. The cottage overlooks Cardigan Bay with breath-taking sea-views.
The beautiful coastal village of Llangrannog (2 miles away) has a golden sandy beach, two welcoming pubs, restaurants, cafe and a shop. The Llangrannog Urdd Centre (1.5 miles from the cottage) is perfect for a family day out with its ski slope and pony trekking centre. There is also a modern leisure centre on site which includes a sports hall the size of four badminton courts, an astro turf field and fitness room.
The cottage is also close to New Quay (5 miles) – a picturesque coastal town with a range of shops, pubs and restaurants. New Quay has a Blue Flag beach and a number of boat trips that will either take you dolphin watching or fishing. Tresaith is also a great excuse for a day trip – another pretty coastal village with a sandy beach, located 9 miles south of Erwan Fach holiday cottage.
