Further details indoors

Morwelir is a bungalow built in the 1930's which we are in the process of updating and improving ( something new every year) please bear with us during this time, our prices reflect this.

The property is not luxuriously appointed, we offer basic value for money accommodation.

Because of an open staircase in the attic and steep drops off the terrace we do not recommend this property as suitable for small children or toddlers.

We have been letting this property for 30 years and many guests return year after year.

Further details outdoors

The property is situated at the end of a no through road, so no traffic noise at all. After us the road becomes a grassy track up the mountain. It takes 5 minutes to walk down to the village and beach and 10 to get back up!

Parking for up to 3 cars on the grass outside the property.

Further details

Please supply your own bed linen (1 double and 5 single duvets and pillows provided) and towels.

If you bring pets please clean up all mess from garden and lane and beach.

Dogs are not allowed on parts of Llangrannog beach, further information from notice on sea front. Fines apply.

The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

Ceredigion is a well known holiday area. The beautiful countryside and coastline has drawn people to holiday here since the railways were built by the Victorians.

Today the area offers a quiet traditional seaside or walking holiday. Cardigan or Aber Teifi is the county town and has an interesting history as an estuary town. The famous coracles are still used to fish the river Teifi.

Llangrannog

Llangrannog is a bustling seaside fishing village. In the past it was a small port with several large ships based there. Today most of the signs of the port and harbour have gone, leaving a pretty village of painted cottages clustered round the seafront and older properties up in the surrounding hills out of sight of the invaders from the sea.

There are 2 pubs, a small shop and a cafe and tea room, so it is possible to have an (almost) car free holiday if that is your wish.

The village is well known by nearly all Welsh people as they all seem to have been to the Youth (Urdd)Centre as a child, this is just outside the village and has a dry ski slope and other facilities for the holiday maker.

There are several National trust properties in the area and endless lovely places to explore.

After 50 years of holidays here we still find new things to do! The latest being the Dylan Thomas trail in nearby New Quay.

"Great Little Get Away"

What a little gem of a place. Wanted a weekend to get away from it all and recharge the batteries. (no phone signal with vodaphone but orange ok!)
Morwelir provided just that.
Great setting at the end of a road of only 4 other houses.
Stunning view over the hill & towards the sea.
The house is basic but comfortable – you get what you pay for, but has a great family feel to the place. Surprisingly big rooms too.
Dog friendly so a great weekend for the 3 of us.
We just stayed 2 nights wish it was longer.
Linda was great in telling places to go & eat.
Car is essential, but if just going in to the village like they say is 5 minutes in but 10 to get back!
Few good places we ate at the Ship & Pentre Arms both offered good food.
Would love to go back again.
Many thanks Linda great little hide away
