Converted from a 17th Century stone-built barn, this lovely property is set on a 25-acre smallholding on the outskirts of Llangollen. This semi-detached cottage seamlessly blends character features and modern facilities to create a comfortable and stylish open-plan living space, surrounded by three bedrooms – one of which is en suite. Visitors can also enjoy access to the large shared garden which boasts views of the castle ruin and are permitted to take walks through the owners' land - including a wildlife rich forested area.

The North Wales / Snowdonia / Denbigh/Flint/Conwy region

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. Snowdonia National Park, situated in North Wales, boasts breathtaking mountain scenery, crystal clear lakes and cascading waterfalls. Climb Snowdon, which at 1085m is Wales’ highest mountain, or travel to the summit in style on the charming Mountain Railway. Alternatively, why not sample the beautiful green valley of Llangollen by steam train or from a leisurely horse-drawn canal boat. In July, the annual Llangollen Eisteddfod transforms the town into a unique centre of international music and dance, attracting musicians and singers from across the globe.You could also explore the beautiful coastline, safe sandy beaches and watersports of the Lleyn Peninsula, as well as Colwyn Bay, historic Conwy, Victorian Llandudno or the Isle of Anglesey on the north coast. To the south, there’s the lovely Brecon Beacons National Park, a haven of rugged moorland, forests and mountains that’s just perfect for nature lovers and walkers. Finally, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is renowned for its wildlife, stunning coastal scenery, superb beaches and as the home of Britain’s smallest city, the City of St David’s.


Llangollen area

With its dramatic mountain backdrop and boulder-strewn River Dee, the beautiful Vale of Llangollen is an idyllic setting for this pretty tourist town - internationally famous for its Musical Eisteddfod. The lush green valley itself can be explored via steam train or canal boat whilst the Castell Dinas Bran – high above the town – can be reached by various scenic pathways and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. With a good range of pubs and restaurants as well as many interesting shops, the village is within easy driving distance of the National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erddig. For those who don’t mind some driving, the 'Seven Wonders of Wales' can be seen in a day with Llangollen as a touring base whilst closer to the town are the Clwyd hills and the Snowdonia National Park.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the 'Low' and 'Mid' periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'LOW', 'MID', 'HIGH', 'PEAK', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

The owners and family made us very welcome. We have already recommended this accommodation to our friends and we will definitely return here. The cottage was perfect just home from home. The owners couldn't of been more helpful and welcoming. A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by the whole family.
