The North Wales region

North Wales is a great combination of the family seaside resorts, which extend along its northern coastline and of course the magnificent mountains that make up Snowdonia Nation Park. Also located in this region are the very distinctive Island of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula. So visitors will find a diverse holiday destination that caters for many different types of holidays from the family beach holiday to serious climbing holidays, and lots in between. There are plenty of things to do here; walking, sailing, fishing and many indoor attractions for the children. Wildlife enthusiasts will not be disappointed, with Anglesey and the Lleyn peninsula in particular being rich in diverse mix of habitats.

Nodyn-Y-Nant rests within Glyn Ceiriog, a peaceful old mining village located deep within the beautiful Ceiriog Valley. Boasting a shop, post office and pub, the village has some local amenities to offer the visitor and is situated close to the popular town of Llangollen. Famous for its year round festivals (such as the famous annual international music festival), historical sites and vibrant culture, Llangollen has plenty to entertain the visitor with all year round. Lying beneath the shadow of Castell Dinas Bran, former castle of the princes of Powys, the town is surrounded by mountains, white water rivers, canals and waterfalls, and so is the perfect destination for anyone wishing to explore the beautiful Welsh outdoors in more detail. Llangollen also benefits from being home to the highest Aqueduct in the British canal system; the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a Grade 1 listed world heritage site and an awe-inspiring landscape, to which visitors are able to take a boat trip and marvel at the beauty of this man made and historical construction. Also boasting an exciting mixture of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, as well as activities such as walking, cycling, white water rafting and canal trips, the whole family will be easily entertained in this wonderful town.

"Get what you pay for"

Stayed here with my wife and dog for a 2 night weekend break. Accomodation was clean, tidy and worth the cost.
