Ground Floor
Kitchen / dining / sitting room: Enter through double glazed doors to a stylish fully fitted kitchen including an integrated oven, hobs and fridge. Here you can also enjoy views to the west and east from a bespoke window seat. There is a cosy wood burning stove with a glass door so you can lie back on the large sofa and watch the fire after a lovely meal.
The sitting area has a small library and board games for the children/adults (toys and extra age specific books can be borrowed on request). There is a television and a broadband connection. The walls are decorated with a selection of local and Welsh artists’ work which creates a pleasant and interesting environment.
A light, large entrance and utility which is ideal to store boots and coats after outdoor activities. Also includes a separate sink and integrated washing machine. You can step out directly onto a private terrace with an outside sink and picnic table with views down the spectacular valley.
A warm, light shower room with a heated towel rail. East facing window with magnificent views down the Ceiriog Valley.
Upstairs
Bedroom 1 is a beautifully light, double room with fantastic views to the East and West and a garden to the north. It has a comfy divan bed with a traditional Welsh tapestry and bedside lights. There are 2 chest of drawers, mirror and directly opposite, storage for hanging clothes and racking for bags.
Bedroom 2 is another cosy and light room with views to the east, west and south down the valley. There are two comfy twin beds with traditional welsh tapestries and bedside lights. There is a large chest of drawers and mirror.

Garden
There is a private terrace to the east with a picnic table to enjoy the morning sun and views down the valley. There is an outside sink which is ideal for muddy boots and washing down bikes. The stone built store which is attached to the main cottage has a freezer, pull up wooden drying rack for wetsuits, waterproofs etc.
There is garden furniture including 2 recliners and a barbeque.
On the west side of the cottage there is a terraced area with a table and chairs to enjoy the afternoon / evening sun with spectacular views.

The North Wales / Denbigh/Flint/Conwy region


This North Wales holiday cottage is situated on a the south side of a hill overlooking the beautiful Ceiriog Valley which Lloyd George described ‘as a little bit of heaven on earth’. Surrounded by 18 acres of land with accessibility to footpaths, bridleways and The Upper Ceiriog cycle trail. The cottage is ½ mile from the village which has a shop with late opening hours, post office, two pubs offering food and a new community centre offering tennis, badminton courts and bike hire.
There are opportunities to go fishing, pony trekking and quad biking near by. Llangollen ‘home of the International Eisteddfod’ is a short drive away and offers water sports and a wide range of outdoor pursuits. It is a picturesque town on the river Dee with a steam train, canal boat trips and range of individual shops. The cottage is also very close to Chirk with its famous aqueduct and castle. Oswestry with its larger supermarkets and market is again close by with footpaths that link to the immediate valleys by the Offa’s Dyke path.
Amongst the must see attractions in the area are Chirk Castle, Erddig House, the Thomas Telford aqueduct, The International Eisteddfod (first week every July), Plas Newydd house and gardens and steam train rides through the valley to Carrog. The cottage is also ideally placed to visit the coast and Snowdonia.
Holiday activities in the area include walking, pony trekking, fishing, quad-biking and water sports e.g. canoeing, gorge walking & white water rafting. You can also try your hand at bush craft or some rock climbing. If you prefer to take it easy, there's a spa / pool and full treatments available 8 miles away.

Ceiriog Valley Way – gentle, 12 mile figure of eight route. 4 miles from cottage.
Offa’s Dyke Path – National Trail (177 miles in total) following the Welsh/English border. Join the Llanymynech - Chirk Mill section, 5 miles away.
