The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

North Wales is a great combination of the family seaside resorts, which extend along its northern coastline and of course the magnificent mountains that make up Snowdonia Nation Park. Also located in this region are the very distinctive Island of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula. So visitors will find a diverse holiday destination that caters for many different types of holidays from the family beach holiday to serious climbing holidays, and lots in between. There are plenty of things to do here; walking, sailing, fishing and many indoor attractions for the children. Wildlife enthusiasts will not be disappointed, with Anglesey and the Lleyn peninsula in particular being rich in diverse mix of habitats.

The Cardigan Bay area enjoys a well established reputation for great beaches, great food, great walking and mountain biking and a laid-back holiday atmosphere. Highly recommended for an interesting day out are the nearby coastal resorts of New Quay and Aberaeron. This is a lively and vibrant tourist destination with a good range of boat trips around the bay on offer and fish & chips reputed to be the best in Wales! Further up the coast is the gorgeous town of Aberaeron. The streetscape here is stunning with the harbour area in particular offering a beautiful and uplifting architectural spectacle. The local ice-cream alone is well worth the journey! Adrenaline Junkies should visit the outdoor sports town of Llandysul. This has a local outdoor centre with numerous activities on offer such as white-water rafting, kayaking, rock climbing etc, etc. On the definite ‘must see' list should be the sublime blue flag rated beach at Llangrannog- rightly regarded as one of the pearls of the Cardigan Bay coastline. Walkers of all abilities should sample the fantastic Ceredigion Coastal Path. This is within easy reach and offers truly sublime walking with the added bonus of incredible views.
