"Lovely, Clean and peaceful, would go again."
The cottage was clean and larger than originally thought. The area was in a lovely spot which was central which allowed us to visit Anglesey, Caernarfon, and Pwllheli. Would highly recommend to all types of people whether being elderly, with children as they have and to people like me who went for a holiday to catch up with some old school friends. The place is easy to find and the owners' are helpful.

Booked this as a much needed break after having twins 3 months previously. First appearances - the cottage was ok but an overwhelming smell of oil from the oil central heating hit you upon entry to the cottage. This was mentioned to owner who said he couldn't see a leak!! That was it apparantly, we had to put up with the smell with a 3 year old and 3 month twins!! The pictures were quite misleading, as the whole place needed a really good clean - cobwebs and dust everywhere! First time I have ever needed to wipe over all surfaces with antibacterial spray - supposed to be on holiday and relaxing. The whole cottage to be honest with you needed money spent on it to bring it up to an acceptable standard. The showere was leaking and had made a huge damp patch on the bathroom wall. It felt unclean because of all the points above. Owners were otherwise very helpful and you had free use of washing machine and tumbler dryer which was very nice. Wouldn't stay again and just lucky we didn't pay as much as some people are paying for it!!
sorry you did not feel happy with your stay, but no one else has mentioned a oil smell, the boiler has been checked by a certified plumber on the day you left,he could not smell anything,or find any leaks with the boiler. The cottagers are cleaned after use all surfaces are cleaned and dusted. with these being old stone buildings you will find cobwebs and these can sometimes be missed, with high ceilings and a limited time gap to clean. When talking with Mrs X she stated she was very happy with cottage and did not report any problems
