About this location
The Conwy County region
Llandudno is Wales's largest resort, uniquely situated between the Great and Little Ormes with two wonderful beaches, the award winning North Shore just a stones throw from the cottage, and the quiet, sand duned West Shore.
Llandudno has kept its Victorian and Edwardian elegance and splendour, despite its modern attractions.
Llandudno makes an ideal base for touring North Wales, from the nearby castle town of Conwy to the spectacular Snowdonia National Park and the Island of Anglesey are all within easy reach by car or public transport.
The world famous Bodnant Gardens are a few miles away.
Within an easy walk of the cottage along the wide promenade are Venue Cymru Theatre, Llandudno pier, and an impressive new swimming pool which opened in 2008. A children's paddling pool and a farm park are closeby.
On the lower slopes of the Great Orme headland can be found the Happy Valley and Haulfre gardens. A wonderful Victorian tramway or a spectacular cable car runs from April to October taking visitors to the Great Orme summit.
The Great Orme Copper Mine is well worth a visit and the dry ski slope and toboggan run are very popular.
Shoppers are spoilt for choice with a wide range of traditional shops and major stores.
Visitors to Llandudno will find a good choice of cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars.
