The North Wales region

North Wales benefits by having both mountain scenery and coastal beauty. Snowdonia, with its towering peaks and bottomless lakes is breathtaking, whether or not the sun is shining, and the coast from Flintshire in the north, around Anglesey, and down to Barmouth on Cardigan Bay has some of the finest beaches in the UK.

There are many ancient buildings to explore, local foods and produce to enjoy, and outdoor pursuits to join in. The world famous Bodnant Gardens is twenty minutes away.

Llandudno

Llandudno is an ideal place to stay, whether you want to discover North Wales, or just to stay put and relax.

It is handy for Snowdonia and the coast, there are plenty of shops and restaurants; theatres and cinemas are close by, and cosy pubs abound.

Conwy, with its castle and Medieval town walls is ony five miles away, fishing and sight-seeing trips can be had from the harbour. The small villages of the Conwy Valley are well worth a view, and the river can be followed right up to Betws y Coed, where the famous Swallow Falls will amaze.

The Great Orme itself has many attractions such as the cable car, the Victorian tramway, a dry ski slope and a toboggan run, and the Bronze Age copper mine, all within walking distance of the cottage. It is a great place to ramble, and the scenery and wildlife is remarkable in its uniqueness.
