The North Wales region

North Wales has a heritage as rich as its spectacular scenery with the mountains of Snowdonia, beautiful beaches and medieval castles. The area offers a range of opportunities from traditional cultural events, historical exploration and heritage sites to outdoor activities and sightseeing which always prove popular with families, outdoor sports enthusiasts and also those just looking for peace and tranquillity.

Numerous visitor attractions include Snowdonia National Park. The popular seaside resort of Llandudno, several World Heritage sites like the stunning Caernarfon Castle and the impressive Pontcysyllte aqueduct designed by Thomas Telford, there is the Mediterranean styled village of Portmeirion, not to mention the many art galleries, studios, museums and theatres which form part of the rich cultural heritage of this amazing country.

The North Coast of Wales, steeped in history with the World Heritage site of Conwy castle and spreading outwards to the various traditional Victorian seaside resorts of Penmaenmawr, Colwyn Bay and of course the ever popular Llandudno. There is always something to do here on the Northern coast be it Kite surfing, jet skiing, fishing or relaxing at the theatre, art galleries and studios or enjoying a meal in some of the excellent local restaurants. All this on the door step and yet the mountains are only a short drive away offering outdoor activities, history, culture and the majestic Snowdonia National Park.
