The North Wales region
North Wales offers an amazing variety of holiday activities, including lakes, castles, quays and harbours. There are steam railways, slate caverns adventure parks and beautiful gardens.
Besides beach fun in the coastal towns and villages, there are many stunning locations for walking and fishing. The tranquility of the Conwy valley also provides beautiful scenery and views of Snowdonia.
So much to experience in walking distance or an easy drive away!
Watch out for the magnificent herds of wild Kashmir mountain goats that roam freely over the Great Orme and often wander by Abalone! The Orme also provides the Victorian Tramway, Cable Cars, the Dry Ski Slope with toboggan run, the Happy Valley and gardens, Haulfre Gardens, Bronze Age Copper Mines, Marine Drive and the Great Orme Summit to name but a few.
Llandudno town has just so much to offer, including two beaches; the North Shore (with Victorian Pier, Punch and Judy and the beach donkeys) and the quieter West shore.
Besides the Great Orme family golf (5 minutes walk) there are two municipal golf courses, 5 minutes drive away and Venue Cymru (North Wales theatre).
There are excellent restaurants & bars providing variety to suit all tastes which are in walking distance. One of the best and oldest pubs in town, The Kings Head, is about 4 minutes walk away.
Don’t miss the famous Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza which is held during the first Bank Holiday weekend in May.
Please also note there is a bus stop a few yards away to take you into town or elsewhere.
