The North Wales region
North Wales is a fabulous place to visit at any time of the year. For garden lovers there's the famous Bodnant Gardens. For adrenalin junkies there are a number of high rope centres. We have great local walks in & around Betws-y-Coed & obviously there's the Snowdonia National Park. At a slightly slower pace there are woollen mills to visit or maybe drop into 'Pritchard's Reclamation' (famous for the recently aired Salvage Hunters) where you might find a quirky memento of your visit to North Wales. Ever popular with children & parents alike is the Welsh Mountain zoo just down the road in Colwyn Bay. A little further away is the award winning Greenwood Forest Park, a brilliant eco-friendly family day out with it's kinetic powered rollercoaster.
Steeped in Victorian history, Llandudno is regarded by many as 'The Queen of Welsh Resorts'. Whether it's a 'bucket & spade' family break or a cultural tour of North Wales' castles, Llandudno is an ideal base. Part of Conwy County, Llandudno is the largest resort in Wales & is easily accessible by road or rail. Popular Llandudno attractions include the ski slope, copper mines & cable car all situated on the Great Orme. Or maybe a stroll down the pier & then the promenade admiring the beautiful architecture as you head toward Venue Cymru, Llandudno's celebrated theatre & conference centre. The newly refurbished Mostyn gallery is well worth a visit even if it's just for a snack in it's modern cafe or to browse in the shop at the Welsh crafts. If you 're feeling a little more energetic you could try 'Invalids Walk' (yes, that really is what it's called!) taking you to West shore where you can look across to Anglesey. Maybe you'd prefer to walk around the Great Orme itself where you might spot one of our famous Kashmir goats.

"Relaxing, cosy and worth re-visiting."
We had a lovely time. The house was clean and comfortable. The owner is very friendly and amenable. Instructions to the house were clear and we found it easily. There is no WIFI (which is quite nice!) but, when we needed it, we popped to the pub a little way over!
We will definitely visit again.

"Compact Cottage needing attention"
Escape Cottage was very clean and a good location for shops and beach although the garden was overgrown and in need of attentionVery popular pub nearby with live music every other Sunday till 10 pmHow… More
I am so sorry that you felt that the cottage was in need of attention. This was not mentioned on your departure so unfortunately, I was not given the opportunity to discuss any issues with you personally.
However, after reading your comments about the lawn in the guest book I contacted you to explain that unfortunately the grass had not been cut during you stay due to the to the fact that it had rained heavily on the day that the gardener was due.
I am so sorry that you felt that the kitchen equipment was lacking. We have never had this comment before & I have now purchased the salad bowl you felt was needed.
Again, with reference to your dislike of mattress protectors. We conducted lengthy research to ensure that they were of a quiet nature & hope that most guests would understand why they are required, especially when we cater for young families. However, you were at liberty to remove them should they have caused you too much discomfort.
The sofas in the lounge were new in February & were Scotchguarded. We were dismayed to find that after only a couple of weeks there had been a spillage & I had not been notified. Were are currently in the process of negotiating with the manufacturer re the removal of the stain. However, in the meantime, the stain is not visible as clean throws have been placed on the seats themselves.
The live music played at the Kings Head is performed on Sundays only throughout August & has proved very popular with most of our guests - some re-booking specifically for this.
We take guests' comfort & enjoyment very seriously so were most upset by your comprehensive list of points. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction. The guests departing ahead of you commented that it was the best holiday they had ever had & the guests arriving this week are here for their 4th stay in 18 months!
Kind regards, Gaenor.
