About the home

The Dortry is a pet-friendly, one bedroom, cosy, green award eco-friendly cottage for 2 in Powys, Mid-Wales. Log fire and friendly wild birds will entertain you in Winter and walks in the wilderness and kytes and ravens watching when the weather is fine will be your other easy delight. Close to Llandrindod Wells for shopping, Hay-on-Wye, Ludlow, Hereford nearby.

The Dortry is inclusive of central heating,initial wood,and all usual amenities. Super king size oak four-poster bed upstairs, wooden floor, with TV,DVD player and comfortable armchairs, as well as a table and chairs to watch the beautiful view. Downstairs beams throughout, separate bathroom with bath/shower,small kitchen with electric hob, 4 stars fridge-freezer, electric oven, microwave oven.

Living room with log fire, table and chairs, stone floor, comfortable sofa for two, board games and a small library of varied books and dvds. You are welcome to bring one well-behaved pet for an additional £10.

Property is not suitable for wheelchairs or disabled due to steep stairs (see photos)

The Powys / Brecon Beacons / Powys region

A very hilly region, many wild kytes, ravens, and many wild birds, a magical land with fairies (it is said to be one of the last places they have been in) and portals, as well as stones circles.

A very inspiring and connecting place, with beautiful steep hills walks, many sheep, and some hares have been seen too!
Un-polluted land, wild!.

The Llandrindod Wells area

Llandrindod has everything needed for everyday necessities, butcher, organic food store, diy shops and a Co-Op and a large Tesco's.

A very nice Herb Cafe sells delicious lunches, and Thomas, a Victorian original shop, sells crafts and odd bits in Penybont. Much to do around the area like the water reservoirs, many activities and museums, and crafts.
