The Pembrokeshire region

The detached single storey cottage is located in the tiny village of Llangolman at the southern flank of the Preseli Hills in West Wales. These hills produced the famous bluestones used in Stonehenge and redolent with the earliest myths and mysteries of Wales. The village of Maenclochog is 2.5 miles away and the nearest pub, supermarket and garage are only 1.5 miles away in Glandy Cross. This is a traditional Welsh heartland where you will still hear the language used in everyday life and offers a true and authentic Welsh holiday.

The famous pub of Tafarn Sinc is 5 miles from the cottage. Tafarn Sinc is well known for its Welshness and the excellent local produce that it sells. This authentic and unique pub is still alive with the happy sound of the Welsh language and well worth a visit during your stay. The town of Crymych is 7 miles away and despite having only 400 inhabitants it offers quite a range of cafes and small independent shops.

The walker or cyclist will have easy access to varied experiences of ever-changing surroundings. The cottage is within easy reach by car of all the attractions of Pembrokeshire and neighbouring Counties - Blue flag beaches, intimate harbours, a magnificent coast , reservoir fishing at Llys-Y –fran and challenging golf courses at Newport, Haverfordwest and Priskilly. Other family attractions such as the Blue Lagoon Waterpark, Folly Farm and Oakwood Park are all only a short drive away.

Tenby is a delightful town steeped in ancient history and surrounded by an imposing medieval stone wall. Both Tenby North and South beaches are firm family favourites and well worth a visit.
