Home description
Loughor Cottage is half of an old stone calf barn that has been converted to two cottages, Loughor and Cothi,(both available for rent) that combine modern conveniences with traditional features and charm, The cottage is located at the western end of the Brecon Beacons National Park, near the village of Trap which is several miles from the market town of Llandeilo. The cottage nestles in the lea of Carreg Cennen Castle, one of the most picturesque castles in Britain. The cottage is comfortable and ideal for a relaxing holiday. Splendid views and walking trails are right out the back door. There is a village pub and many places to visit in the area, which rightly bills itself as the playground of Wales.

Easiest access is by driving. Coming from England over the Severn Bridge, stay on the M4 until the last junction (No. 49). Then take the A483 through Ammanford and north towards Llandeilo. Just over 2 miles outside Ammanford in the village of Llandybie, take a right turn following the signs to Trapp and Carreg Cennen Castle. In the village of Trapp beside the Cennen Arms Public House, cross over the small river bridge and turn right towards the Castle. About 300 yards out of the village, you will pass the Ty-Isaf Holiday Cottages. Immediately past these, turn right on a crushed stone track which is marked with a Loughor Cottage sign. About 30 yards down the track, a fork to the right takes you into the parking area / garden of Loughor Cottage.
