This is an area of mountains, sea and national park and somewhere that has been attracting holidaymakers for many years. Pembrokeshire Coast national Park in the south west is a favourite holiday destination, with miles of coastal footpaths and wonderful seascapes; lots of Blue Flag beaches and seas rich in marine life. Further east Carmarthenshire also has lots to attract holidaymakers, with historic castles, mountains, rivers and of course coastline. No matter where you choose your never too far away from mountains and the sea and of course there is the thriving cities of Cardiff and Swansea to visit, where you'll find lots of first class shops, cafes and restaurants.
The idyllic market town of Llandeilo has plenty to offer visitors, from independent shops to unique arts and crafts galleries, award winning butchers shops to fine restaurants and traditional pubs. The shopping opportunities here are endless, with the local antique centre having over 50 traders and holding fortnightly auctions as well as Friday morning markets offering something a little different for visitors to sample. A wander around the town is a pleasurable experience, and the vast amount of skilled beauty and well-being professionals in the area are always on hand for those who fancy a little pampering on their retreat! With exciting events such as the annual festival of music and flowers, a big hit with the locals and attracting exciting figures in the music industry from Jamie Cullen to Tamsin Little, the endless magic of this town is enough to make you never want to leave! Visitors staying near Llandeilo will also be pleased with its proximity to attractions such as the Dinefwr Park and Castle, the National Botanic Gardens of Wales and Carreg Cennen Castle, as well as a number of blue flag beaches, helping to make this area an excellent destination for a true Welsh getaway.
