The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region
Carmarthenshire is known as the Garden of Wales and is the home to a number of varied and interesting attractions. From the golden sands of Cefn Sidan, the magic atmosphere of Carreg Cennan castle, or the National Botanic Gardens there is something for everyone.
The area contains a wide variety of wildlife which can be enjoyed, from the romote hills in the north east of the county, the woodlands and the coastal areas. The National Wetland Centre in Penclawydd Llanelli is open throughout the year and you can observe wild birds on the estuary as well as see the collection of ducks, geese and Flamingoes (born in Wales) .
Cardigan Bay boasts a host of sandy coves including Llangrannog , Aberaeron and New Quay, where the resident dolphins can bee seen in the harbour. Popular in the summer months but equally as lovely throughout the year
