The North Wales / Snowdonia/Gwynedd region
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. Snowdonia National Park, situated in North Wales, boasts breathtaking mountain scenery, crystal clear lakes and cascading waterfalls. Climb Snowdon, which at 1085m is Wales’ highest mountain, or travel to the summit in style on the charming Mountain Railway.
Alternatively, why not sample the beautiful green valley of Llangollen by steam train or from a leisurely horse-drawn canal boat. In July, the annual Llangollen Eisteddfod transforms the town into a unique centre of international music and dance, attracting musicians and singers from across the globe.You could also explore the beautiful coastline, safe sandy beaches and watersports of the Lleyn Peninsula, as well as Colwyn Bay, historic Conwy, Victorian Llandudno or the Isle of Anglesey on the north coast.
To the south, there’s the lovely Brecon Beacons National Park, a haven of rugged moorland, forests and mountains that’s just perfect for nature lovers and walkers. Finally, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is renowned for its wildlife, stunning coastal scenery, superb beaches and as the home of Britain’s smallest city, the City of St David’s.
The Llanberis area
Flanked by two lakes - Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris – and dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. As the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in England and Wales – the village is incredibly popular with walkers and climbers who enjoy the variety of interesting trails. For those who prefer a more relaxing holiday the ascent to the summit can also be made via the Snowdon Mountain Railway. In July and October every year the town hold two annual races, the Snowdon Race and the Snowdonia Marathon. Llanberis itself offers a wide selection of excellent places to eat and drink as well as great shopping. Just seven miles away along the coast is the medieval town of Caernarfon, which boasts both a castle and medieval city walls.

This accommodation was excellent in every way. We met up with a group of friends to do a bit of walking up snowdon and the surrounding area. The location of the cottage was perfect for this and touring the snowdonia area generally. The accommodation was lovely; clean, well presented, well equiped, comfortable and spacious. The owners are lovely people, very friendly and helpful should you need assistance. I cant emphysize enough that the view from this cottage is stunning, being a very elevated view, and is not shown or justified in the pictures, but if you like scenery you'll just love this cottage location. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone and would love to return myself in the future. |

,Fantastic countryside location with amazing views. Lovely house with a cottage feel but all modern commodities. Would recommend for families as there is easy access to lots of places to visit and things to do.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
