"Very good for the price"
We stayed at the Manor House in January as part of a "new parents" weekend away. 14 mums and dads, 7 6month old babies and 4 dogs. The setting is beautiful, set in the middle of nowhere with… More
Thank you for your positive comments and that you would definitely recommend the house. Also thank you for your kind remarks about the bedrooms.Due to the above average occupancy rate, refurb is done in Jan-Feb each year. Two of the bedrooms on the second floor were updated last year. However the other two which were in need of a facelift and new carpets will be completed mid Feb.We are sorry that you had a problem with the cloakroom toilet. As the handle had become
disconnected,if this had been brought to our attention during your stay it would have been repaired immediately. The other three toilets are in perfect working order. There are actually two baths and two showers, which are shown on the particulars. It is not possible to install more bathrooms without destroying the classic Victorian features.Due to us being aware that there were to be young babies, the central heating was on continually for three days before arrival,so house very warm.During your stay it was set at a very high setting 24 hours a day, with no additional charge, although using a substantial amount of C.H oil. However we did note that the French doors to the Living Room and Kitchen door were frequently left open to allow the dogs free access to the garden.Even if the house was double glazed it would have still lost warmth quickly. Our builders have now rectified the smoky fire by removing the recently installed cowl, which was causing the problem,as it has never been a problem prior to installation.
Very pleased that you had an enjoyable weekend and looking forward to your return visit in the future.

Thank you so much for your complimentary review which is very much appreciated.
Your party was a delight to have to stay, also thank you so much for leaving the house so immaculate. Our sincere apologizies for the the smokey log fire which was rectified fully after your stay, caused by recent chimney works on the house.
Again thank you for being such perfect guests.
