The Northern England / Merseyside region

The North of England was a great centre of industry – Leeds, Bradford and Sheffield being at the forefront in past centuries.
Nowadays Leeds is a great shopping centre, with cutting-edge bars and clubs, and Sheffield is one of the best nights out in England.
If you’re looking for something more sedate, York offers narrow medieval streets and the most spectacular cathedral in the North.
The Liverpool area
The European Capital Culture of 2008, Liverpool is a vibrant bustling city in the North West with plenty to offer visitors.
The city is the night-life capital of the north with a fantastic array of bars, clubs and restaurants.
Very rich culturally, Liverpool has five theatres, cinemas, museums, art galleries and more listed buildings than any other city outside London.
For shoppers, the city centre features all of the main high street stores and is currently being doubled in size which will make it the largest shopping development project in Europe.
On a sporting front, Liverpool, Everton and Tranmere Rovers attract the football fans and rugby fans can choose from Widnes, St Helens & Warrington (Rugby league), Waterloo and Liverpool St Helens (Rugby Union) - all of whom play in the city region.
Whatever your tastes or preferences, Liverpool has something to offer everybody.

Guestbook for Epstein House
“Friendly staff, very welcoming and comfortable accommodation”
Date of review: 21 Mar 2011
The accommodation is a £5-£7 taxi ride from town, 2 minutes walk from Anfield Stadium. The house keepers were so very helpful - they just couldn't do enough to make your stay comfortable and calm. The beds were very comfortable and it was great that there was access to an onsite bar should you require it. The conservatory would be a lovely place to sit out in during the summer, overlooking the park behind.
“excellent guest house for our needs”
Date of review: 24 Sep 2010
Stayed at this guest house 23rd september 2010 for 1 night. Excellent for our needs as we needed a place to stay near anfield stadium. We went to the Liverpool V Northampton match. Owner and staff very friendly couldn't do enough for us a family during our stay there. We would recommend this to anyone who reads this as we found this to be a great place to stay - from a Milton Keynes family.
