The Kent region
This part of England is the sunniest and driest in the country. There are many things to see and do and many of our visitors return because they ran out of time on their last visit! Rye, Hastings and Battle are all historic towns worthy of a visit. Dover Castle and the White Cliffs of Dover are a must. Canterbury is only 45 minutes away and the lovely little town of Sandwich. The centre of London is only a 35 minute rail journey from Ashford - 20 minutes away and you can park the car at the station. This makes it an ideal base to sightsee in the City and stay by the sea.
'Beach Front' is located on the sea front at Littlestone where you can occasionally see the coast of France. Local activities include plenty of beach fun including wind surfing, kite surfing, bathing, fishing and playing and sun bathing in the sand dunes. The Beach Hut is available which contains chairs and tables, buckets and spades. Just 2 minutes walk away is a well stocked Spar shop open 7 days a week until 10.00pm.
Local places to visit from here include Dungeness and the RSPB reserve, fun fair at Dymchurch, the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway. The town of New Romney has a good variety of shops including Sainsburys just 1.25 miles away. In Lydd there is a water sports centre with windsurfing, power boat racing and go carting. Golf at Littlestone Golf Club.

"Best Holiday Home I've stayed in"
I booked this house for various member of my family to stay with me, age ranges were from 4 to 60. This house is amazing, it feels like a home not a holiday let largely due to pictures and ornament tastefully placed. The rooms are all large and comfortably furnished and absolutely spotlessly clean. It has every conceivable appliance you could wish for and a well stocked kitchen (possibly better than mine)
There was plenty of crockery, cutlery, serving dishes, glasses (inc a couple of crystal ones) All the little touches made it special, even small things like tissues, toilet and kitchen rolls, bin liners washing up liquid meant that everything you wanted was there.
The location is brilliant, my grandson could be taken over to the grass area opposite to fly his kite, play cricket or go to the play area. We also made good use of the beach hut, wind break and umbrella (sun). The beaches at Littlestone and at Greatstone are clean and quiet with lots of space, when the tides out, to dig and play games. Even on the one morning it rained I sat looking out of the lounge window at the sea, so restful and those sunsets and rises were beautiful.
It was especially nice to meet and chat with Sue and Ray. A big thank you for the use of your home and the lovely mugs you left for us, we all had a really great time. We will be back.

"excellent house for sharing, cosy, bright and clean"
We had another adult and her three grandchildren stay with us. The three floors made it easy for all to to have their own space.
it was a super jumping off location for touring, with lots of interesting things for both adults and children.
Sue and Ray were excellent hosts and were most helpful.
We would recommend this charming house to anyone!

"This is the best holiday home we have ever stayed in and we are cottage connoisseurs!"
Fantastic property in a great location. This cottage is furnished as a home rather than just a holiday let, with beautiful, quality decor, furnishings and fittings - this is very welcoming and makes a refreshing change to the norm. The property was very clean on arrival and the owners, Sue and Ray, are lovely and very hospitable. Again, this isn't always the case, in our experience. I have read other reviews and having now stayed at Beachfront, I can understand why people say "home" rather than "holiday let" in their write-up. We all loved it and didn't want to leave. In fact, we would like to keep this place a secret and we definitely plan to return. It is so relaxing just sitting in the lounge, looking out to sea, we found we did not always want to be off out somewhere. Beachfront is well-equipped and spacious. We already know the local area so did not do the usual touristy things. It was a get-together with family who live in Kent, but it is a lovely area to visit.

"Wonderrful place and fantastic hosts"
Arriving after a delayed flight and driving by guess, we were surprised and pleased to find Ray waiting for us with the heating on and a lovely welcome pack. The three large bedrooms and two sitting areas made for a stress free environment for us and our two teenage children.
Ray and Sue contacted us several times to make sure all was to our expectations, actually they were beyond our expectations. The value for money factor was exceeded; we've stayed in places that cost twice as much and been treated with disdain.
Even for a winter break with sudden snow storms, the accommodation was warm, cosy, and relaxing.
We look forward to coming back again, and recommend the Beachfront at Littlestone-on-Sea to all as high quality accommodation with real value for money. Thanks for the mugs and your attentiveness Sue and Ray.
