Henmarsh Cottage is lovely! A welcoming cottage with heaps of charm, cosiness and character. Converted from a barn combining the best of old and new with wooden floors and an abundance of old beams. Maintained to a high standard with quality lined curtains and stunning prints throughout. A delightful sitting room with a wood burning stove and doors opening onto a sheltered sun terrace and walled garden - fully enclosed for the kids and your four legged friends! With garden furniture, a bbq and fabulous views this is a great spot for a relaxing holiday.

Complete ground floor facilities (one step from the kitchen through to the sitting room), you have a second double bedroom upstairs with an extra single bed*- the single can be moved to the landing if that would suit your party (this must be requested at the time of booking please). Off the landing is the bedroom to the left and bathroom to the right.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, this holiday cottage is in an unspoilt village just a short drive to nearby Moreton in Marsh (5 minutes or so). The cottage is within easy reach of many of the pretty villages in the Cotswolds such as Bourton-on-the-Water, the Slaughters or Burford and an excellent selection of restaurants, pubs, shops and antique emporia in the Cotswold towns of Chipping Norton, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford. There are plenty of sporting facilities within easy reach including golf, riding and fishing (in season) as well as several famous gardens to visit nearby - Hidcote or Batsford Arboretum.

Bring your walking shoes as opposite is the first bridle path you'll come to leading to miles of country walks. You have a choice of 2 pubs within about a 30-minute walk - one a gastro pub so quite possibly worth it!

Children and dogs are very welcome.

Ground Floor: Sitting room, fitted kitchen/dining room, double bedroom with an en-suite shower room.

The Cotswolds region

From Windsor to the Welsh Borders our area offers a taste of what was and what is...fabulous properties of historic and architectural interest that sit alongside pretty tea rooms, gastro pubs, shops, restaurants etc etc!

In a simply stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are the Cotswolds with the unique honey-coloured stone, ancient woodlands and miles of rolling hills and over 3,000 miles of public footpaths. The rivers Windrush and Coln trickle their way through some of the prettiest Cotswold towns and villages you will ever come across, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Bibury. Royal Berkshire and the Thames Valley are on the doorstep of the Capital. Stay in Windsor (with a royal neighbour!), be close to Henley-on-Thames famous for Henley Regatta or walk The Thames Path as the river meanders through rural villages, historic towns and peaceful water meadows before it reaches the Thames Barrier in the heart of London. From your 'own' front door you can explore the contrasts of Worcestershire, Herefordshire & Shropshire. Visit the theatres at Stratford-upon-Avon, walk the Ridgeway Path from the Thames in the west through to the atmospheric Chiltern Hills.

Our towns and villages optimise the English rural scene...cricket on the green, a glass of locally brewed beer, peace and quiet - lovely!

Little Compton

Barton-on-the-Heath is a small village in the county of Gloucestershire and is conveniently situated close to the borders of both Warwickshire and Oxfordshire. As well as being a great location from which to view the surrounding countryside by hiking, it is within a short driving distance of the popular Cotswold villages of Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Lower Slaughter. Also within easy reach (about 25 minutes) is Stratford-upon-Avon with its rich history and Warwick with its splendid historic castle (this provides a wonderful day out for the family).
