‘Le Prieure’ offers excellent B and B accommodation and is perfect for groups of 2 to 8 people. Part of an old priory, the house is in the small, peaceful village of Listrac de Dureze in Entre deux Mers, Gironde. The house is almost 200 years old and has a large garden with pool, terrace, woodland area.
Situated in the midst of the wine-growing region of Entre deux Mers and convenient for visiting St Emilion, world famous for its wine, it offers a perfect base for exploring, wine tasting and visiting local markets and villages and of course – relaxing.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Gironde region
The Gironde is renowned for being one of the foremost wine growing areas in the world. Listrac de Dureze is situated within easy traveling distance of St Emilion and its many Chateaux.
Bordeaux and Bergerac are within an hour's drive and there are many delightful 'bastide' villages and towns within very easy access. The area is rich in history with churches, chateaux and abbeys to visit.
Day trips can be made to Arcachon, the Pyla Dune and the Atlantic beaches. Many of the local lakes have beach areas and almost every village has a market day.
The spring and autumn are warm and the summers usually comfortably hot.
Listrac de Dureze area
Listrac de Dureze is a very small village but a convenient centre for discovering this beautiful area of the Gironde. Wine tastings can be arranged as there are many local chateau that welcome visitors. The Dordogne is only a few kilometres away and canoeing is available during the summer months.
There is a market in one of the villages each day of the week with large markets in towns such as Ste Foy la Grande, Bergerac, Libourne and Langon.
A must is the market on the 'Quais' in Bordeaux on Sunday morning, beautifully laid out stalls and a chance to sit and watch the promenading!
The nearby town of Castillon la Bataille stages the spectacular re-enactment of the famous last battle of the Hundred Years War in July and August.
How to get there
Within 1 hours drive of Bordeaux and Bergerac airports. Many budget airlines fly into these airports, Easy Jet / Flybe / BMI Baby / Ryanair as well as regular airlines such as BA.
Listrac de Dureze can be reached within a day from ports in northern France - 8.5 hours from Calais and 6 from St Malo. Good motorway links from the ports.
There are a number of car hire companies at both airports. Cars can be booked through Holiday Autos who offer competitive prices.

Guests are free to choose whether to eat in or out in the evening, all our meals are freshly cooked from locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
