"Peacehaven" is a two-bedroom holiday bungalow accommodating up to four people, offering everything a couple or small family could want of a self-catering base from which to visit the legendary Cornish countryside. It is situated at Rosecraddoc Lodge, a collection of bungalows, all privately owned, built in the grounds of the old Rosecraddoc Manor.
There is a public house that serves the site, but no noisy night clubs, amusement arcades or swimming pools. This is for people and families who are looking for a peaceful holiday in the countryside. It is however, close enough to major roads to make it easy to visit the attractions of Cornwall and West Devon on day trips before returning to 'base' each evening.

The West Country / Cornwall region
Cornwall is the number one holiday destination in England for good reason. There is something for everyone in Cornwall including, spectacular coastline, great beaches, small fishing villages hidden away, rolling countryside, moorland and many places of interest.
Our visitors enjoy a variety of activities according to their age and tastes. Those with young children may enjoy the beaches and the farms, particularly Trethorne Leisure Farm, the Tamar Donkey Sanctuary or perhaps the nearby Monkey Park. Those without children may enjoy some of the many National Trust properties or gardens in the county, or just exploring the varied countryside with walks over the moors or along the rugged coastline.
Those with an interest in history will enjoy a day out in Plymouth or Bodmin or discovering the old tin mines or China Clay works. Some may like to travel on one or two of the local railways, including the Liskeard-Looe branch line or the steam trains from Bodmin or over Dartmoor.
The possibilities seem endless and it's likely that one trip to Cornwall will not be enough!
Liskeard / St. Cleer area
Liskeard is an old Stannary town in south-east Cornwall. Most of our visitors use the supermarkets in Liskeard, although many prefer the local produce available in the Farm shop at St. Cleer, just a couple of minutes drive from Rosecraddoc.
Looe is the nearest coastal town, famous as a fishing port, supplying some of the best fish to the markets in London and even in Europe. Close to Looe is Polperro, famous for its narrow streets leading down to the coast.
Bodmin Moor provides a playground of a different sort and many of our visitors enjoy a short trip to either Sibleyback or Colliford Lakes. Fishing is available at both.

Further details indoors: Entry through the side door brings you into the kitchen/diner area, pictured below. The kitchen is well -equipped with a four-ring cooker, oven and grill, a microwave oven, toaster, refrigerator and washing machine. A wide range of cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery makes self-catering easy for you. Walking through, towards the lounge, the dining table comfortably seats four people.
The comfortable lounge area has seating for four people on a three-piece suite, a coffee table, a television, a video player and a cassette tape deck/radio. An efficient night-storage heater is well situated to spread warmth around the bungalow and, in the lounge, is supplemented with a 'flicker-flame' cast iron 'fire' (pictured below, near the television), complete with a remote control handset!
The main bedroom has a double bed with built-in cupboard space above, maximising space in the room. The bright, well decorated room also has a shelf with mirror above, an electric fan heater and a hair-dryer. The second bedroom has two single beds (3'), again with built-in storage space above and beside as well as a bedside cabinet between the beds, a shelf with mirror above and an electric fan heater.
The bathroom includes the toilet, a wash-basin and the corner bath, which also has a shower over it. A cupboard next to the bathroom houses the hot water tank and some useful shelving space.
Further details outdoors: Immediately to the side of the back door is a patio with garden furniture and on the other side is an allocated space for one car.

We offer a 5% reduction on bookings of two consecutive weeks or more. (Maximum 4 weeks)
We generally ask for a 30% deposit with balance due 14 days before the start of your holiday. Smaller deposits and staged payments can be arranged however.
Payment by direct transfer via online banking, cheque or credit/debit cards via PayPal are all accepted.
We normally let from Saturday to Saturday, although other days, including shorter breaks may be possible out of season. Not available between 7th January and 1st March.
