Rosemary cottage has been converted to a very high standard, is comfortable, well equipped and with central heating. Rated Four Star Gold Award by Visit England. Enjoy the garden's tranquil south facing aspect, with its own garden furniture, all set within one and half acres of grounds. Rosemary Cottage retains a number of character features including exposed stonework, and farmhouse style kitchen. Ample car parking next to cottage. Arrival time is after 3PM and departure at 10AM.
Rosemary cottage is part of a 3 cottage complex set around a courtyard within one and half acres of grounds. The other cottages Thyme and Lavender can also be viewed on Holiday Lettings.
Rosemary Cottage is a charming, spacious, one-bedroom (double) cottage that can sleep 2 plus a Cot. Open plan living area comprises, kitchen, dining and sitting area. Full central heating, T.V, DVD and radio/CD player.
Fully equipped kitchen with 4-hob cooker, microwave oven and fridge.
The bathroom has a heated towel rail, bath with shower above, toilet and hand basin.
Bed linen provided, towels can be provided at additional cost. Heating and WiFI provided at no extra cost.
Ample parking, own garden with garden furniture and barbeque. There is also access to further lawn and gardens. Separate utility room with washing & drying facilities, freezer and a library of maps and books of local interest.
We are located 12 miles north of Looe on the South East slopes of Bodmin Moor. Ideally situated for touring Cornwall's rugged Atlantic coastline and the more gentle southern shores, local gardens, Eden Project, theatre and historic monuments. Local walks directly from the cottage or close by eg Copper Trail, Two Valleys, Caradon Hill and Cheesewring. Bird watching in many nearby locations. Water sports, fishing,cycling and many other activities at nearby Siblyback lake. Cycle hire can be arranged at the cottage or in Bodmin at Camel trail. National Trust Houses at Lanhydrock, Cotehele & Antony all within a short distance.

The Cornwall region
We are surrounded by outstanding and varied walking countryside. Adjacent to the cottages is the Two Valleys Walk following part of the Fowey River, farmland, open moors and forest. Golitha Falls walk is 1 mile from us. There are many other lovely countryside and coastal walks within easy striking distance. Take binoculars and camera to fully appreciate the wildlife.
Water-sports and Fishing:
Practically all forms of water-sports available. Sibleyback lake 2 miles distant, Colliford Lake 5 miles distant (for sailing, windsurfing and canoeing), south and Atlantic coasts 25 & 50 minutes drive away. Sea, lake (coarse and trout fishing) and river fishing all over Cornwall.
There are at least 8 courses within a 20 mile radius of Badgers?Sett, including St. Mellion, a challenging course designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Buildings and places of historical interest:
There are several historical buildings fairly locally, including the National Trust property Lanhydrock House, one of the most frequented beautiful manor houses in Cornwall (approx. 10 miles from the cottages). Ancient monuments include, The Hurlers stone circles, King Doniert?s Stone, Trethevy Quoit. These are within 5 miles of West Draynes.
Many beautiful, ancient and modern gardens can be found within easy distance, including The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project (35 minute drive from cottages).
The very popular Trago Mills is just 10 minutes by car, the cities of Plymouth 40 minutes and Truro 1 hour away.
Rosemary Cottage at Badgers Sett is located just 1 mile from Golitha falls in an idyllic location along a quiet country lane. Whilst only a few miles from many amenities our gardens offer a peaceful location to relax or play.Many walks can be undertaken from the property or visit one of the many attractions within a short drive. Return after a day out and relax in our peaceful garden or sit on your own patio with a refreshing drink whilst the children play in our spacious grounds. Walks through quiet lanes, woodlands, open fields and open moorland are all within walking distance. There is a wide variety of wildlife and birds, Idea for the birdwatcher. Minions and its historic and natural attractions is just 4 miles away, Siblyback lake with its variety of water sports is just 3 miles away. Lanhydrock House (NT) is less than 10 miles. The southern coast is easily reached within 10-15 miles giving access to Looe, Polperro and Fowey. The northern coats at about 15-20 miles gives access to Wadebridge, Padstow, Rock and Tintagel. Newquay is just a 45 minute drive with its surf and seaside attractions.
