Our lovely holiday home, Hudson Cottage is located in Common Moor, near Liskeard in South East Cornwall. Set amongst moorland and woodland it is the perfect base from which you (and your dog should you have one) can explore this stunning county.

At nearly 125 years old, the cottage has period features and quirky elements a plenty, but we've added all the modern conveniences you would expect to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable self catering stay.

With a double bedroom, a twin (with bunks), family bathroom, large lounge with log burning stove, a kitchen (featuring oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and a washer/dryer) along with a dining area and pretty courtyard garden, Hudson Cottage really is a beautifully quaint place to stay. As our guests you will benefit from free wi-fi, freeview television and a welcome hamper, to make you feel at home straight away!

Only 2 minutes away you will find Siblyback Lake & Country Park. With walks, watersports, outdoor activities, adventure playgrounds for the little ones, a cafe and not to mention stunning scenery, it really does offer something for everyone. Guests at Hudson Cottage also benefit from a 10% discount off watersports (including the UK's only clockwise cable Wakeboarding system) and outdoor activities (which range from Segway rides to archery). Full details on the discount are provided in the welcome pack at the cottage.

If walking is your passion then you will be spoilt for choice in this area. With many footpaths just outside the front door of the cottage, there is so much beautiful countryside to be explored - including Bodmin Moor, an 'Area of Outstanding Beauty' which offers over 150 square miles of moorland.

The nearest town is Liskeard, only ten minutes drive away, and has all the shops and amenities you could need for your self-catering stay.

The south coast can be reached within half an hour from Hudson Cottage and the north coast (with its popular surfers beaches) in 45 minutes.

If you're looking for a small, chic place to stay, set in wonderful countryside, yet perfectly positioned for whatever kind of holiday you need (be it a ramblers break, romantic getaway, family holiday with activities a plenty or surfers hideout) then Hudson Cottage is for you.

We had a great stay at Hudson Cottage. It is well appointed and in a great location to explore Cornwall.
The cottage is in a very quiet area, which made it easy to relax.
There is plenty to do in the local area, and a walk around the local falls is recommended.
The cottage would suit a family with 2 children and dogs re welcome.
It was very clean and tidy.
Parking is in the lane not far from the cottage.

"Ideal cottage base for a country holiday with water sports nearby."

The cottage is beautifully fitted and furnished to a high standard and with a yachting theme in a rustic style. Downstairs there's a comfortable living room with colour TV and log burning stove. … More
