Liscannor is a small fishing village steeped in naval and marine history, on the end of Liscannor Bay on the rugged west Clare coast. Liscannor is overlooked by the ruins of its former castle which sits above the village, while many old stone houses are still occupied. One of the great natural wonders of Ireland, the Cliffs of Moher are just a 5 minute drive away to the north; these majestic cliffs boast some of the most amazing views in Ireland, and on a clear day you can see the Aran Islands in Galway Bay and the hills of Connemara.
