The Alfama neighborhood recall the Moorish heritage with its steep and winding streets. In this neighborhood, take time to wander at the whim of narrow and fragrant alleys that open onto beautiful esplanades and shaded terraces. It is the oldest district of Lisbon and is preferably to visit it in the morning during the Rua São Pedro and Rua dos Remedios markets. Visit Panteão Nacional, flea market "Feira da Ladra" (every Tuesday and Saturday) and the São Jorge castle to discover one of the best views of Lisbon. (It was built by the Visigoths in the 5th century and was enlarged by the Moors in the 9th century, to finally be changed during the reign of Afonso Henriques). Then enjoy the many viewpoints that offers this district, as the Santa Luzia viewpoint or that of Senhora do Monte. Discover the Cathedral of Lisbon Santa Maria Maior, the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora and Graça Church. Finally visit the Fado house-museum and listen it in Fado houses and in "taverns" of Alfama. And do not forget to take the typical tram 28 "Eléctrico No. 28" for a ride!!!

Close to many typical Alfama restaurants and all the most famous attractions of Lisbon, this apartment is a world apart, tastefully decorated and delightfully welcoming.
