We loved staying in Aida's apartment. It's spacious, immaculate, modern, bright and attractive and was a lovely place for the family to chill out when we weren't sightseeing. We thought we would only be 'crashing out' there, but it was better than the photos online (the kitchen was a particularly nice surprise!). So we spent more time there than planned, bringing back takeaways from local restaurants and even cooking simple meals as there were good shops nearby. We felt very lucky to find somewhere so centrally located and yet so quiet- the best of both worlds. It's in a virtually silent, tiny back street and it's hard to believe that it's situated right behind the famous #28 tram route and part of the fun Barrio Alto area full of buzzing fado clubs and restaurants. In one direction we were minutes walk from one of the beautiful miradours where we could peacefully breakfast at its typical café while overlooking sensational views. In another direction, we could walk into the buzzing centre of town in a few minutes and start sightseeing or window shopping straight away. Not only was it a lovely, well-located apartment, but Aida was terrifically helpful- from sending us a message beforehand to print for our taxi driver to effortlessly find his way, to warmly greeting us on our arrival and giving us lots of ideas of how to live like Lisboans for a week (providing cheap mobile phones for each of us and getting us started with travelcards, for example) Our children can find all this info a big drag, but they fell in love with Aida! She made sure we really would call her if we needed help, day or night, but there was no need. So apart from a quick call to us checking we were ok after a bad storm, she didn't reappear until our last day to organise our taxi and help us on our way. The perfect hostess! |

We found the flat a real home from home - not like some other holiday apartments can be sometimes. Loads of amenities were provided like iPod dock, TV with loads of English channels, coffee machine as well as those little things like toilet rolls, bin bags etc which you really don't feel like going out to buy as soon as you arrive on holiday. The location of the apartment was great, really close to the City Centre and main sights (you could walk to Elevador de Bixa in 1 minute) but not too noisy. Felt very safe with the police station being 2 doors down. The temperature was 30 degrees when we were there but the flat stayed nice and cool. Our little boy (2 years old) settled in really quickly and also really took to Aida! Aida gave us a great welcome and took the time to show us a lot of the nearby sights as well as things like where the nearest supermarket was and what we should go and see during our stay. Overall we would really recommend visiting Lisbon and would rate this flat as a great place to stay. Luke & Charlotte Marion Reading UK |

Adia's apartment became our home for one month which was enjoyable, comfortable and quiet. It's very well located for cafes, bars and restaurants and an excellent base to explore Lisbon with tram, bus and underground minutes away. A great holiday with Adia full of suggestions and information about where to go and what to see. |

"
We stayed in this apartment during September, and what a wonderful time from the very moment we arrived at the door and was greeted by the very lovely and charming owner Aida .everything about our surrounding area was explained, and the great thing about this apartment it really is in the centre of Lisbon with restaurants and bars galore less than a 3 minute walk, shopping also within minutes and the famous 28 tram running the next street down.
The apartment pictures don’t do it justice, everything has been thought through with great detail the lounge is comfortable with settee’s and chairs to relax in, satellite TV offering a range of us/uk channels as well as loads more if you need a quick fix of world news or sports or just chill before your ready for your next adventure.
The beds were comfortable and the bedroom were both beautifully decorated again the pictures don’t do them justice.
The kitchen was well equipped with a great coffee machine and a great bathroom too.
A supermarket is minutes walk but without doubt if you love a pastry or too on every corner is a café to tempt you and so inexpensive , for a great coffee and a pastry you will be shocked by the low prices you will never wont to go to starbucks again .
This property is fantastic it made for a great city break as a base to relax and enjoy, a great owner who is so helpful and nice all helped to make a perfect stay , it gets a 10/10 from me and my party.

If someone looks for apartment in Lisbon, I recommend her apartment.
(Maria Jose- Spain)
We couldn't be happier with the apartment!
We stayed in Lisbon for 5 days with our two-year old girl, and the apartment was perfect. Great space, light, clean, beautiful, very good atmosphere and well-equipped (it had everything you needed, even a nespresso-machine and two mobile phones that could reach eachother and the owner). The apartment was situated in Bairro Alto, importantly in a very quite street, with walking distance to the rest of the town. The lovely owner Aida, was very helpful and friendly, our girl totally fell in love with her and even now, over a month since leaving, she still talks about her and asks if we can "go and see Aida". And we will! Next time in Lisbon, we are staying in her apartment, that's for sure.
J&K&M
We stayed at Aida's flat for a week in June'10
The place was really comfortable, even for our group of five. One can
move in and really feel like at home - everything you can imagine is
there to ensure you don't have to worry about basic stuff. What's
more, Aida (as a superb host) provided us with two prepaid cell phones
and a GPS. Now that's what I call excellent customer experience!
One crucial thing - LOCATION. The flat sits in the city centre in
Bairro Alto (police station next door - security ensured), so we took
daily sightseeing trips on foot. Cais do Sodre (train station) takes a
10 minute walk through picturesque neighborhood.
You want to party - just walk into Bairro at 12 p.m. and experience
typical Lisboa nightlife. If that's not what you're after - the flat
is quiet and far enough from Bairro epicentre, so that you can have a
good night's sleep.
Aida was always there to help us and provide advice (be it a place to
visit, recommended restaurants or bars) and went extra mile to ensure
we had a great stay. Her English is superb and made me blush once or
twice.
Look no further when looking for a place to stay in Lisbon - it is
equally suitable for a family and a bunch of friends (like us) wanting
to explore the best city in Europe!

Review Title : 823465 - "Fabulous apartment in a fabulous city"
"We stayed in this apartment for a week in May 2010 with our two small children.
The apartment was centrally located but still quiet during the nights and kept cool in the day time even though the temperature outside was rising high. Given it's great location, Cais do Sodre station was in easy access to get us to the beach of Carcavelos literally in 45 mins without a car.
The apartment itself is well kept, fully furnished and decorated with taste and personality. Land lady Aida has taken care of all the small details and it really pays off, we lacked nothing and appreciated our accommodation well beyond our expectations.
In the description it is described (at least in Finnish) that the place would have a tumble dryer, which it does not have. This was not however a problem as the sun dried our washing on the line in no time at all!
On the top of all, Aida was superbly hospitable and reliable hostess who impressed even our children with her kindness and care."

I would certainly like to help publicise your wonderful apartment.
This was an ideally situated apartment in the heart of the old city. Superb facilities in the apartment and extensive local amenities combine to make this an excellent and economical choice of accommodation in Lisbon.

"We stayed at Aida's apartment in October/November 2010 for one week. The apartment is lovely! It is spacious and Aida has made it very homely. All facilities are modern and function properly. Lovely lounge with TV/DVD player, books, dvds and dining facilites plus comfy sofa. Kitchen very well equipped - including a NESPRESSO coffee maker! 2 lovely, comfy and well furnished bedrooms and a modern bathroom.
It is a lovely space and very much a home-from-home experience.
Apartment is well located - five minutes walk to shops, supermarket and gorgeous bakery/coffee shops. Portugese cakes are fabulous!!
The main town is 10 minutes walk away as is the railway station. Metro is about 5 minutes from the apartment. The police station is two doors down from the apartment so it is nice and quiet!!
We loved Lisbon. It is an interesting and vibrant city, but I think our stay was all the better for the lovely apartment. I would recommend it without reservation." Carole Anderson
