The Costa de Lisboa/Lisbon region
The Lisbon region is the perfect destination for an intense and well-rounded trip. Diversity is the region’s principal hallmark. It has extensive beaches ideal for sunbathing or water sports, luxurious and protected landscapes, fields used to breed horses and bulls, monuments classified as World Heritage sites by UNESCO, and picturesque rural landscapes. The World Heritage site of Sintra, is one of Portugal’s most luxurious and romantic towns - that has served as a great source of inspiration for poets and writers
Estoril/Cascais - a privileged zone for lovers of the sea, golf and charm.
Further north, in addition to Fátima - a world-famous pilgrimage site - the region has three key monuments that have been classified as World Heritage sites by UNESCO: the Monastery of Alcobaça, the Monastery of Batalha and the Convent of Christ, the former home of the Knights Templar.
Other key sites in the region, include the mediaeval town of Óbidos and Santarém, which in addition to its fine architectural heritage, is the centre of horse and bull-breeding in Portugal.
Travelling south we reach the River Sado and discover the beauty of its riverbanks. Its unique estuary, bordered by the beaches of Tróia, Arrábida mountains and Setúbal, is one of the most beautiful in Portugal. It’s still possible to see dolphins swimming in the waters, but the estuary’s greatest riches lie on its banks, above all in terms of natural beauty.
Lisbon / Central Lisbon area
Lisbon is an illuminated city. The almost constant presence of sunshine and the River Tagus transforms the Portuguese capital into a mirror of a thousand colours - highlighting the city’s unique architecture and beauty. There are so many things to see and do in Lisbon that visitors have access to a wide array of different experiences.
As we walk through Lisbon - whose history spans back thousands of years – we find streets filled with heritage monuments, and characteristic neighbourhoods where the city first developed and can still be experienced at its most genuine level.
Visit Lisbon of the River Tagus, whose river front is dedicated to leisure activities and links the monumental zone of Belém with the modern area of the Parque das Nações
Have fun in Lisbon, where night life continues till dawn.
Practise sport in Lisbon - with excellent golf courses and beaches close at hand.
Experience calmer moments in Lisbon in the city’s parks, gardens, belvederes, cafés and esplanades.
Or simply enjoy the pure pleasure of being in Lisbon, through its gastronomy, and shopping centres
Lisbon. A personal experience.
