The Costa de Lisboa/Lisbon region
Lapa is a parish of the municipality of Lisbon which was founded in the year of 1770 and is considered a charming district, as it is surrounded by a number of luxury hotels and villas (Palaces), which still retain traces of the past, combined with modern interior design and the comfort of any modern house.
The area of the village is 75 hectares and is inhabited by a population of about 15 000 people. It is a mainly residential area and there are also a large number of trading shops and services.
Lisbon / Central Lisbon area
The apartment is situated on top of one of Lisbon’s seven hills in the heart of the most elegant district, where you can find luxury palaces like the Palace of the Viscounts Sacavém or the Palace of the Count of Agrolongo. It is situated near the best shopping mall of the capital (Amoreiras). This parish lodges most of embassies of foreign countries in Portugal. In terms of cultural interest Lapa has many focal points like such as the Palace of St. Benedict, the outside staircase and garden adjoining the residence of the Prime Minister or Convent of St. Benedict of Health (old).
Next to the garden of the Estrela, where you can go for a walk or visit the weekly handicrafts’ fair, is one of the most important religious centres of the city, the Basilic of Estrela.
