The Costa de Lisboa/Lisbon region

Boasting springtime temperatures during the winter and cool summers freshened by a breeze blowing in from the Atlantic, Costa de Lisboa, on the southwestern coast, offers a rich and impressively integrated diversity. Lisbon's position on seven low hills beside a river once lured traders and settlers, and it's still a stunning site. Add to that its cultural diversity, laid-back feel and architectural time warp, and you have one of the most enjoyable cities in Europe - and also one of the most economical.

At its heart are wide, tree-lined avenues graced by Art Nouveau buildings, mosaic pavements and street cafes. Seen from the river - one of the city's many great viewpoints - Lisbon is an impressionist picture of low-rise ochre and pastel, punctuated by church towers and domes.

The city is a mix of vibrant blue and white azulejos (painted tiles), cobblestoned laneways, wildly extravagant Manueline architecture, melancholy fado singing, funiculars, fun and more than a touch of the medieval. Elegant, pretty and with an appetite for life, Lisbon will seep into your soul until you too are filled with saudade for her.

- Cheap flights available from TAP to Lisbon airport
- Car hire available from www.premiercarhire.co.uk
- Local buses run regularly between the airport and Sete Rios
- There are always local taxis available - but be wary as they may try to overcharge tourists. Fare should be no more than 20 euros.

A 15% deposit is required on booking and the balance is payable 8 weeks prior to departure. A refundable damage deposit of £50 per week rental is also required (refundable within 2 weeks of return). Prices given are base on a group of 4 adults and 1 or 2 young children. Charges apply for larger parties.
Broadband Access is available on request and charged separately


Conditions

A 15% deposit is required on booking and the balance is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. A £50 refundable security deposit is also required, refundable within 2 weeks of return.
Included in the rental rates are:
Bed linens and towels provided on arrival and changed on a weekly basis.
All utility charges.
