This is another cozy apartment that we have in one of the most typical quarters of ancient Lisbon, Bica neighborhood at Santa Catarina área, 200 meters from BAIRRO ALTO and CHIADO!.

The flat is located near the famous Bica elevator, the viewpoint of Santa Catarina and a few steps from Bairro Alto and Baixa / Chiado, the heart of the city!.

This area is known as a very typical neighborhood with a special life on feast days. At the same time, it is located at the heart of Lisbon but in a very quiet street.

Entire apartment, sleeps 4 but it is ideal for three, With one interior double bedroom (without window but not claustrophobic), living room with bed sofa for two, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. It has all the kitchen utensils as well as the bathroom. You will find also linens, pillows and bath towels. Cable TV and internet wireless. Oil heaters are at your disposal for your comfort.

In the kitchen there is a coffee machine, microwave, gas stove, toaster and washing machine. In this area there are heaps of restaurants and shops nearby and Lisbon's touristic attractions are close by.

The Baixa and Bairro Alto are only a few steps away, as well as the Castle and Chiado so you'll be able to easily visit the main areas of the city on foot or, if desired, just take a ride on the famous tram 28 or hop on the tram 15 to Belem where you can visit the stunning Monastery of Jeronimos and try Lisbon's most famous pastries “Pasteis de Belém / Pasteis de Nata”. You can also take the underground to the trendy Parque das Nacões or spend a wonderful day in the amazing village of Sintra, just about half an hour from the City Centre. Sheets and towels: for stays more than 8 nights we change towels and linen, though if you need to change it sooner, just contact 24h/day or even if you have any problem! Comfort such has electric heaters for a good environment in winter time are available.

Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world, and the oldest city in Western Europe, predating other modern European capitals such as London, Paris and Rome by hundreds of years. Julius Caesar made it a municipium called Felicitas Julia, adding to the name Olissipo. Ruled by a series of Germanic tribes from the 5th century, it was captured by the Moors in the 8th century. In 1147, the Crusaders under Afonso Henriques reconquered the city and since then it has been a major political, economic and cultural center of Portugal.

Unlike most capital cities, Lisbon's status as the capital of Portugal has never been granted or confirmed officially – by statute or in written form. Its position as the capital has formed through constitutional convention, making its position as the fact capital a part of the Constitution of Portugal.

Lisbon enjoys a Mediterranean climate. Among all the metropolises in Europe, it has the warmest winters, with average temperatures 15 °C (59 °F) during the day and 8 °C (46 °F) at night from December to February. The typical summer season lasts about six months, from May to October, although also in November, March and April temperatures sometimes reach around 20 °C (68.0 °F).
