In the heart of Lisbon you are going to find not another apartment but a house.
Restored with much affection and respecting the architectural traits of Lisbon on the outside.
Inside you can enjoy motives "retro" and a decor typically Portuguese.
In the historic center of Lisbon in the neighborhood of typical Moorish quarter / Costa do Castelo be enchanted by the wonderful and varied view (viewpoint of Grace, Three Mills of Largo, Largo da Severa) resting in your cozy terrace.
A charming duplex in opening space downstairs, upstairs rooms and terrace.
The photos speak for themselves!
"This neighborhood in the heart of Lisbon has over 900 years of history. In Mouraria the Muslims settled following the Christian conquest and it is speculated that in the melancholy sound of the Islamic chants is to be found the origin of the Fado genre of music. The Arab urban planning legacy is still visible in its streets and it is a neighborhood that has always been linked with the trading activities that the capital has carried on over the centuries
In this and the surrounding neighborhoods, originated the first productions of Portuguese Mudejar art, that came the Manueline art.
The sadness and melancholy of his songs are the origin of Fado. Born in our street, next to the Three Alley Mills, Maria Severa Onofriana, Portuguese fado singer first and last expression of this period.
In front of the fado house , was born in the twentieth century, Fernando Mauricio that was considered the "king of the Moorish quarter fado" .
"Our street is now part of the iconography of Fado.
Above, a Pink House Pink Platter of Lagares, Mariza grew, the more international contemporary Portuguese fado singer, was there that Mariza learnt how ti sing Fado.
After the inauguration of a Shopping Center of the Moorish in Martim Moniz, the neighborhood has become a very busy place and welcoming.
Currently, the Moorish quarter is considered one of the safest neighborhoods in the capital, it is a meeting point for people of different cultures and, simultaneously, a site that keeps alive their ancient folk traditions, as confirmed by the existence of several fado houses , bars, taverns and local cultural and sporting a pair of commercial establishments Chinese and Indian origin, among others. Lisbon....city of light and silence!
"The Moorish quarter is one of the most traditional neighborhoods of Lisbon, which takes its name from the fact that D. Afonso Henriques, after the conquest of Lisbon, have confined an area of the city for Muslims. Was in this neighborhood that remained the Moors after the Christian reconquest. Meanwhile, the Jews were confined to quarters of Castelo.
In this and the surrounding neighborhoods, originated the first productions of Portuguese Mudejar art, that would give way for the emergence of Manueline.

Born in our street, next to the Three Alley Mills, Maria Severa Onofriana, Portuguese fado singer first and ultimate expression of period1 In the fado house in front, was born in the twentieth century, who was considered the "king of the Moorish quarter fado" Fernando Maurício. In our street is now part of the iconography of Fado. Above, a Pink House Pink Platter of Lagares, Mariza grew, the more international contemporary Portuguese fado singer. By the house, now closed to the public, the restaurant was located Zalala where Mariza learned to sing fado.
After the public opening of the Mall of the Moorish quarter in Martim Moniz, the neighborhood has become a very busy place and welcoming. This is a beautiful little house in the Moorish area of the city, right in the heart of where the locals live. Ideally situated for the castle and Baixo/Chiado areas plus right near the metro (Martim… More

"This is really a typical life in Lisbon!"
I love Lisbon, and most of all love one of the oldest and most magical parts of it - Mouraria. I have long wanted to stay in this typical house in Mouraria, and finally found this house and Sandra. The house is very comfortable, spacious, clean and it has everything you need.
Beautiful view from the terrace on the roof of Lisbon and the castle! Cafe with fado are close but quiet at night. Metro station Martim Moniz, Alfama, Elevador de Santa Justa and all the other sights are very close, you can walk the walk.I recommend this house and host, Sandra - she was very hospitable and cheerful, around helps when needed. Thanks to her, I am even more love Portugal!

"Lisbon great changes"
Great change of a place, from ruin to palace. Location next to Martim Moniz and Castle, all within walking distance. We have spent splendid time, almost three weeks in Lisbon and specially in Alfama, Baixa and Martim Moniz. We were there with our little kids (3,5 Years old and 8 month old baby) and apartment as well as city is great to visit for holidays. Accommodation is well equipped with all what is needed to stay longer. We have found new friend. For sure we will be back many times to Lisboa, and Sandras Apartments. Great apartment, great location... only so little time ;)
