Feel at home in Lisbon, staying in a cosy and quiet apartment in the very heart of Alfama quarter, near to the river Tagus and the National Pantheon, while visiting plenty of nearby popular sights of this beautiful historical city.
The apartment consists of an open space with a comfortable kitchen plus dining área with all the commodities needed for a comfortable stay, and 'relaxing' área.
There is also a classy bathroom with a shower.
Located on the ground floor of an completed restored ancient building, it is only a short walking distance from the subway, bus stops and the international train station of Santa Apolónia.
This apartment is in a building fully recovered on a street without traffic.
It is situated a 10 minute walk from the center of Lisbon Commerce Square (Palace Square), Rossio, Chiado. In Alfama, Castelo Sao Jorge exists, museums and old churches, in small narrow winding streets, but with mutch local shops (butcher, bakery, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, etc..). The Estremadura region
Bears the mark of an incredible heritage with laid-back pride. The city also presents an intriguing variety of faces to those who's wandering in the switchback streets. In the oldest neighbourhoods, stepped alleys are lined with pastel-colour houses and crossed by laundry hung out to dry.
Here and there miradouros offer a spectacular river or city views.
In the grand 18th-century centre, black-and-white mosaic cobblestone sidewalks border wide boulevards.
Elétricos (trams) clank through the streets, and blue-and-white azulejos (painted and glazed ceramic tiles) adorn churches, restaurants, and fountains.
Lisbon is a magical, friendly city and cheaper than most other European destinations.
With so much to offer, it is a legendary city with more than 20 centuries of history,. narrow streets, white and blue tiled buildings, old neighborhoods and Fado music coming from many restaurants making this city a great and unique place to visit.
Near Lisbon there three places you should not miss:
1st. Cascais - Catching the train that runs every 30 minutes or so, you can quickly reach Cascais. The train makes a breathtaking journey along the Atlantic coast where you can see a wide variety of beaches. The main sites are: Oeiras, Carcavelos, Estoril (where the famous Casino).
In Cascais, you can visit some museums, such as the "House of Stories of the painter Paula Rego," or do activities such as golf, sail, windsurf, horse riding and cycling along the sea.
2nd. Sintra - World Heritage, continues to delight us with his Mystic, the Pena Palace, the Moorish Castle, Regaleira Estate, Capuchin Convent, the Palace of Monserrate, etc.. Easy access by train from Rossio station.
3rd. Beaches of Costa de Caparica, is part of a set of beautiful golden beaches that stretch along 15 kilometers. Most beaches have lifeguard during the summer, bars and parking. There is a train that operates solely in the summer months, by which you can stroll along the beaches. You can get to the Costa da Caparica by bus or ferry boat.
