This light and sunny apartment is located in the neighbourhood of Santa Engracia. It's superbly located and within walking distance to The castle, Graca, Alfama, the National Pantheon ( Panteao Nacional ), Sao Vicente de Fora Convent, Feira da Ladra, Museum of tiles to name but a few. It's a quiet residential area with plenty of restaurants, cafes and a supermarket nearby.
With 1 interior double bedroom , 1 bedroom with bunk beds and a sofa bed in the living room it's suitable for both families and friends.
Leading from the dining room is a spacious garden with an area for dining outside. When you return from sightseeing you can relax and dine al fresco with a spectacular view of the River Tagus.
A wonderful location for discovering Lisbon and for relaxing and getting away from it all.

The Costa de Lisboa/Lisbon region
Lisbon is a city to visit all year round. With mild temperatures in winter and warm in summer. You'll also find an abundance of history and culture. Lisbon is the capital of Portugal and is on the Atlantic coast. It lies on the steep hills on the north bank of the river Tagus (Rio Tejo). Its proximity to the coast makes it an ideal choice for both sightseeing and sunbathing. There are many wonderful areas outside Lisbon that are easy to get to and make a lovely day trip, such as Estoril and Cascais, Costa de Caparica including Arrabida and Setubal, Sintra and Mafra and the wine area of Colares.

Within walking distance from the apartment you have the Feira da Ladra, Alfama, Graca and The Castle . 10 mins walk to the metro Santa Apolonia where you can catch the train to Sintra to visit it's wonderful palaces or Setubal to eat the freshest fish and seafood. June is a great time to visit if you want to experience the Festival of Santo Antonio when the Alfama doesn't sleep.

From London there are many low cost companies. www.easyjet.com, www.ryanair.com, www.monarch.com, BA. From Scotland fly direct to Portugal with www.globespan.com to Faro and catch the train or hire a car. Journey approx 3 hrs.

You have the advantage of discovering a world of individual gardens that are not apparent when you view the tiled facades of the buildings from the street. This increases this central Lisbon neighbourhood's character and charm.

Returnable deposit on arrival of 150Euros when picking up the keys from the caretaker to cover any minor damages. For last minute bookings the full amount is payable on confirmation. What a wonderful relaxing location hard to believe we were so close to all the fantastic things to see in Lisbon.
Really enjoyed staying in a real Lisbon neighbourhood, the views were amazing.
The boys really enjoyed playing in the hammock and with the scooter. I've never seen such a well equipped self catering apartment. Estella was also extremely friendly and helpful.
