Inside an old house you get into an unexpected ultra-modern and very comfortable apartment. The interior glass walls, mirrors and high ceilings give you a nice sense of space and exoticism and the exquisite decor offers you an intimate atmosphere, ideal for a romantic couple. It has 1 bedroom with a double bed and a sofa-bed for 1 in the living room, full equipped kitchen (sorry, no dishwasher) and bathroom with shower. The house is located in an old and quiet neighborhood that has been rehabilitated.

It's close to Palácio da Ajuda and you have public transportation nearby. Bus 727 will take you to Belém or Marquês de Pombal, 729 to Algés or uptown and tram 15 to Terreiro do Paço or Praça da Figueira in 20-25 minutes. Parking in the area is easy and free of charge. You're at walking distance from Belém, where you can enjoy the beautiful gardens, the proximity of the river Tagus as well as great monuments such as Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Presidential Palace, Belém Cultural Center where there's always something happening, National Coach Museum and the Electricity Museum. On the way you'll pass by the Centro de Congressos if your work requires you to attend any conference or meeting there.

Nearby you have many convenient shops such as pharmacy, supermarket, restaurants (I would suggest "Andorinhas", just around the corner), etc. In Belém choices are even multiplied and you can chose from great fresh fish to typical portuguese or international food at affordable prices. You can also taste the unique Lisbon cakes known as "Pasteis de Belém" which recipe has never been unveiled.

For further questions or any special request please let me know for I'll try to find a way of complying with it.

The Costa de Lisboa/Lisbon region

There's so many things you can do in Lisbon starting by just strolling around and experience the rhythm of the city. There's plenty of monuments and museums to visit. For that you have plenty of information. Since it's Summer now, and if you are a beach/surfer lover, let me tell you about our other not so spoken treasure. We have some of the best white sandy beaches in the world, on both sides of the river. The best closest one is Carcavelos and you can go there by train. But if you like vivid sea I would recommend going to Guincho (about 25 km) or, on the other side of the river, to one of many long beaches in the Caparica coastline (between 10-15 km). These beaches are very well known among surf lovers. Both options will need a car though. Experience having dinner and taste grilled fresh fish at sunset in a typical seaside restaurant. Praia do Castelo is probably the one that allies an excellent grill and magnificent sea view. After that you'll be as relaxed as one can be. Last tip and very important: don't forget to use high grade sunscreen at all times. Our sun is very, very strong...

Ajuda is an old, beautifully recovered neighborhood. It's mostly residential, very quiet with narrow streets and superb views of the river. You'll have a good image of local people. But there's also plenty of interesting places to visit, starting with Palácio da Ajuda. From there walk down to Belém (1 km), one of the most visited areas of Lisbon.
