Home description

City centre modern apartment set in a recently rebuild building in old historic Lisbon. This bright, daylight filled, 4th floor apartment is located in Rua Garrett, one of the most important streets of historic Lisbon, has a privilege situation in the heart of the cultural and historical part of the city (Chiado), very close to several museums, operas, theatres and churches. Accommodation comprises one bedroom with a queen size bed, living room with dining and sitting areas for 4 persons, one full bathroom and fully equipped kitchen (please note that there are no separation between the living room and kitchen). The total apartment area is 60 sqm. The apartment has air-conditioning and central heating in all the rooms. This privileged location offers easy access by foot to the subway (Chiado/Baixa station – 50 m). We will welcome you with a nice bottle of wine, coffee and tea ready for you and some biscuits.

The Costa de Lisboa/Lisbon region

Bears the mark of an incredible heritage with laid-back pride. The city also presents an intriguing variety of faces to those who negotiate its switchback streets. In the oldest neighbourhoods, stepped alleys are lined with pastel-colour houses and crossed by laundry hung out to dry; here and there miradouros (vantage points) afford spectacular river or city views. In the grand 18th-century centre, black-and-white mosaic cobblestone sidewalks border wide boulevards. Elétricos (trams) clank through the streets, and blue-and-white azulejos (painted and glazed ceramic tiles) adorn churches, restaurants, and fountains.

Lisbon / Central Lisbon area

Chiado is considered the most beautiful area of historical Lisbon. It was a place of residence of the Portuguese royalty and of the political and cultural elites. Nearby are located the theatre S. Luis and the opera D. Carlos.
A little further up on the left is Camões Square (Praça de Camões), next to Bairro Alto, picturesque but raffish; part of Lisbon's nightlife seems to be concentrated in this quarter, which was frequented to hear the sentimental 'fados' sung in certain restaurants and cafés.
Chiado and Bairro Alto are “the” meeting point for locals and tourists, with elegant hotels, old cafés and the best international fashion shops nearby.

How to get there

Apartment located at the heart of historical Lisbon, in Rua Garrett, at the Chiado area, near Bairro Alto. A few minutes walk takes you to the Rossio, in the Baixa, and to the Elevador da Lavra. On the other direction you will reach the Praça do Comércio, near the river Tejo (Tagus River).
Close to shops, restaurants, cafes, banks, cash machine, public transportation (subway and electric trams) and 24 hour taxi stands, etc.

The rates for 4 persons are applicable to children older then 8 years old. When staying longer than 7 days a 10% reduction will be applied, 20% when longer than a month. Credit cards accepted.

A deposit of 30% is required to confirm the reservation. Balance of 70% required to be paid on arrival with the delivery of the keys. Check in after 2:00 pm and check out before 11:00 am. Other arrangements possible if no other guests are coming in / going out the same day.

Extra housekeeping can be arranged. We reserve the right to refuse any reservation requests at our own discretion.

Apartment has excellent location. Short (even walking) distance to many interesting places in Lisbon. Apartment is very well maintained, clean, modern and well equipped. I do recomend it for all who are going to visit Lisbon for short or a bit longer period. However there is no garage it is still possible to park a car not far away what I did with succes. We have been in a number of apts in Western Europe.. This was the best.. Staff was great,location perfect.. only small suggestion.. little stronger lightbulbs are needed next to the bed in the bedroom..Recommend the apartment strongly. Herb, California, USA (19JUN2008)

What a great apartment to stay in. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of the restaurant and shopping district, and only a 5 min walk down to the Baixa area. The apartment itself is very new and modern and has a wonderful layout with a good sized lounge area and full kitchen. Paulo was very easy to communicate with and nothing was ever a problem. We didnt arrive at the apartment until 11pm at night and it was no hassle for his staff to meet us there at that time. Excellent communication at all times.
