Welcome to Luminous Apartment in Vibrant Bairro Alto, a comfortable and charming apartment placed in a centenary building of the widely known Bairro Alto area.

In 3 minutes walking distance you can reach the elegant and beautiful Chiado, that leads you to the downtown of the city (Baixa) and Rossio, in less than 10 minutes by foot.

All transports are very close: metro station of Baixa-Chiado (green/blue line), tram 28 and bus 758 are on a 3 minutes walking distance! The train stations of Rossio and Cais do Sodré are only 10 minutes away.

The apartment is set on a XVI century's building, which was recently redecorated and updated but still has some antique elements that are being kept for centuries, like the balconies made of stone and wrought iron, the old style wood doors, etc.

This is the perfect choice to go out at night for a drink, to eat well in a great variety of traditional or modern restaurants and enjoy the enviroment from the balcony. It's a one lifetime experience!

The area is typically Lisboeta and has a true traditional neighborhood feeling. The morning light offer you a pleasant breakfast while enjoying a bit of sunshine on the balcony.

The streets covered with cobbled stones and historic buildings with 500 years, create the sensation of being in the Medieval age for a few moments!

The apartment hosts comfortably 4 people in 2 double beds.

The apartment is placed on the 2nd floor, with some steep steps and there is no elevator in this kind of traditional buildings. Therefore, is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility difficulties.

"CASUAL APARTMENT IN CENTRAL LISBON"

clean, luminuous and spacious appartment well located in Bairro Alto surrounded by the nightlife. Plenty of bars and restaurants available just near. We have been good wellcome and the stay was very pleasant. We had too the wifi connection. The only damage was the noise because surrounded by bars.

"Top location, very clean, helpfull host"

Prime location, specially if you like to party. Very clean apartment, close to everything. We rented in the past apartments in New York, Boston, Paris, Barcelona, Montreal ... and never met such a caring host.; Joana was very helpful throughout our stay - she recommended restaurants, places to visit, booked taxi for us... she was definitely trying (and succeeding) to make our stay enjoyable; for example, she noticed that our teenage son is very (basketball) tall and arranged his bed to be extended. WiFi was high speed, much better then we usually encounter when renting apartments. The apartment is in the heart of Lisbon party district and to us it was a big plus; on the other hand, if you do not like the noise ... go and book a quiet island :)

"Best place to stay in Lissabon with a group of friends!"

There is no other place like this, it's a wonderful appartement located in the centre of all bars and nice little restaurants. The appartement itself is very charming, clean and tastefully furnished. It's located in the heart of the bar scene at night. When you step on the small balconies to look down to the street, you can't actually see it, as its swarmed by young people. Joana is a fantastic host. Providing you with tips where to go, where to eat, etc. She cares a lot about her guests and makes your stay even more comfortable. It's a great place to stay in Lissabon with friends! We enjoyed it very much!

"captures the character of Lisbon"

I came here with my parents and my brother. It is a beautiful apartment and has a lot of charm. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. Joana was extremely helpful and attentive. When we arrived she had laid out some pastries and wine which was very welcome after a long trip. She also gave us information about the best ways to get around the city, which turned out to be easy and accessible. The location is central and close to the metro and trams. It is also in an area that has great bars and restaurants so you don't have to go far to get a great meal. The beds were very comfortable, but the apartment is quite small....which is normal for this kind of historic building. It has everything you would need and everything worked well. There is just one closet for clothes so that was a little cramped for 4 people, but we managed fine. The only downside to this place and the reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the area tends to be quite noisy. It was a festival month,...and a weekend so it was probably more noisy than normal, but we did need earplugs to sleep. It is also a challenging apartment if you have any disabilities at all as there are quite a few steep stairs. Having said that, I would go back there in a minute. Its a very special place and we really enjoyed our stay.

"Bright and cheerful apartment right in the middle of lively Barrio Alto"

This appartment in Bairro Alto is a lovely, clean, bright place. Really everything you need - or might need - is there. Fully equipped kitchen, big comfortable bed, lots of space for clothes, great shower. Location is very central: right in the middle of Bairro Alto's nightlife. So not for light sleepers (although double glazing and wooden shutters keep most of the noise out). Joana is the best. Very friendly, warm & welcoming. Love to stay with her again. No drawbacks? Just one - it was very hot when we were there. And in Bairro Alto air conditioning is, for obvious esthetic reasons, not allowed... The fan did a good job though!

"Fantastic Location"

We hired the apartment for a long weekend stay in Lisbon. Joana made us feel so welcome at the apartment - greeting us and showing us around, welcoming us with local treats and advising us on places to visit and great restaurants in the area. The location of the apartment was brilliant, right in the centre of Bairro Alto, perfect for partying. It was rather noisey at night time which didn't bother us but may annoy others if you don't plan on being out with the party people on the street. The apartment was perfect for our long weekend stay however two small comments would be that the futon/sofa seems to be broken - the apartment is advertised as sleeping up to 6 but I would say it really only sleeps 4 in two double beds. I slept on the sofa on our second night and it was incrediably uncomfortable. We also couldn't sit on it as everytime you sit down it slides out. The other small comment would be that there were only 3 chairs in the apartment - we borrowed the small little stepping stool from the kitchen so we could all sit at the table together but think it would be worthwhile replacing the chair and sofa to make the apartment better. Thanks for our stay we hope to return!

"El piso esta muy bien situado y muy bien comunicado"

Joana y Pedro han sido muy amables. Nos han dejado información sobre lisboa y nos han aconsejado algunos lugares para cenar. El piso esta situado en una zona buenisima de lisboa, el barrio alto y con muy buen ambiente por la noche. Volveremos pronto.

"Amazing flat in the best buzzing location in Lisbon!"

We stayed a group of friends over New Years in this amazingly located apartment, which was in the very heart and nerve of Lisbon! The apartment itself is very cosy and accommodated the five of us well. We had the most amazing time, and thanks to Joana everything we needed was there. We liked it so much that two of us decided to extent our stay with a couple of days. Joana was extremely nice and helpful. I therefore highly recommend this apartment!

"Wonderful apartment right in the centre of Lisbon!"

We absolutely loved the apartment. It is very cozy with plenty of space and right in the historic centre of Lisbon on a small street crammed with cafes, nice bars and restaurants.
