Home description

The apartment is one of 4 in a quiet residential road consisting mostly of large villas owned by cypriot people. The apartment has tiled beige floors throughout. In addition there's a large outdoor ground floor terrace, walled for some privacy.

Ample room to sunbathe, the sun is in the front till around 1.30pm, then it is in the shade, which is very welcome on hot days

Ideally located on a quiet road surrounded by Cypriot villas, it's a fine way to slip into local village life. With a short walk to the village comprising of bakery, DVD store, supermarket, a few tavernas, bank, post office and several boutiques.

The Famagusta District

Cyprus has 340 days of sunshine each year, with a hot summer and mild winters (it was 83 degrees in Oct when we were there). In the winter months you can go skiing and the drive back to the apartment sunbathe. English is widely spoken with English shops such as Topshop, Zara, Claire's Accessories, Debenhams and M&S. Iceland even stock food in the supermarkets - handy for kids who want chicken nuggets and chips! If you like walking, cycling, being informed or entertained or just relaxing Cyprus has it all.

I would recommend a night at the Bandidos Mexican in Ayia Napa for a good night out, you have a great meal and a great time! The small villages of Sotira, Freneros and Vrysoulles, are extremely close, with Ayia Napa are full of great little tavernas where you can eat and drink all night for around 20 euros. For the more adventurous who want to explore, go to Famagusta ghost town or Nicosia the only city in the world which is split by two countries. Viewing points allow you to see the Turkish and the Cypriot sides of the divided city together. Now you can even cross the border on foot and dine and drink in the other side of Cyprus.

Drive up to the Troodos and go to Mt Olympus, the views are simply breathtaking. The little mountain villages offer all sorts of different experiences from wine tasting and dancing to simply sitting down for a meal and enjoying the local way of life. Walk along the Ayia Napa strip, or visit the harbour and take a boat trip to see the Deserted City of Famagusta, do some diving or swimming then chill out whilst the captain serves lunch. There is so much to do you simply cannot list it all, try Cyprus and have a great holiday, and the one thing you're certain to do is, come back again.

Cyprus is one of those rare countries that provides both skiing and sun bathing. Troodos mountains have skiing between January and March, on the mountain Mt Olympus. Troodos mountains are approx 1hrs drive from the apartment.

Liopetri area

The village of Liopetri is a 5 minute walk where you will find all your essential amenities you need, plus a selection of restaurants and tavernas. The nearest bank with cash machine is a 5 minute walk into the village, which also has a bakery, supermarket, fast food outlet, restaurant, bar, betting shop, clothes shops, chemist, church.

A 5 minute drive along a straight road takes you to the fishing beaches of Potamus and further up the coast is Ayia Napa, about an 8 minute drive. Water World, the huge water park is 10 minutes away along the same road.
A 5 minute drive will take you to the nearest beach which is the secluded Potamus beach. This is a small enclave with lovely blue water with fish and chip restaurant serving freshly caught fish.

Up the road is Macronnissis and Ayia Thekla with white sands and clear warm water, no waves and perfect for children to swim. A 2 minute drive along the coast brings you to the famous Nissi Beach, with music playing in the beach bars, water sports, bungee jumping, and 1 of the best beaches in Cyprus.

How to get there

The nearest airport is Larnaca which will take you approx 25 mins by car. Due to the apartment being in a small Cypriot village you do require a car, which is not expensive to hire from the airport. The Cypriots drive on the same side of the road as the British.

All road signs are very clear and are in English and Greek so you will always know where you are. Paphos Airport is around 2hrs drive. It is impossible to get lost, a straight road from the apartment takes you to either Paralimni, Ayia Napa or Protaras.

Each bedroom is spacious with fully fitted wardrobes in each bedroom. The lounge and kitchen area are extremely spacious and ideal for large families.

There's a children's play area with volleyball court 25 metres away. there is also a roof terrace on the 4th floor with an clothes drying area

To front and back there are lovely countryside views yet you are a 5 minute walk from the village with all its amenities and a second away from the main artery roads into all the towns.A 5 minute drive will take you to the nearest beach which is the secluded Potamus beach.

Conditions

£150 non refundable deposit is required on all bookings, along with a £150 deposit, which is refundable after my cleaner has checked the apartment, after you have left, and there are no breakages or damage.

Payment is required in full 8 weeks before you arrive.
