Piglets is a modern conversion on one level consisting of one bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The property has its own separate enclosed private garden. The owners bungalow is situated next to the cottage and access to the rest of 3 1/2 acre grounds is permitted.
Piglets is situated halfway between the coast at Great Yarmouth (10 miles) and the historic city of Norwich (10 miles). The City of Norwich offers a wide variety of interest from its ancient castle and cathedral, excellent shopping facilities and a good selection of restaurants and pubs. The Norfolk Broads are all within a few miles of the property (Acle) which is great for those who enjoy boating, fishing and the beauty of the waterways. The east coast offers lovely sandy beaches, including the resort of Great Yarmouth (10 miles), and the more quieter beaches at Winterton and Sea Palling. Shop, pub, Post Office and railway station are within the village of Lingwood 0.5 mile.

The East Anglia / Norfolk region
East Anglia is a wonderful holiday destination providing unspoilt beaches, the breathtaking waterways and mile upon mile of open countryside. Norfolk offers unspoilt beaches from Lowestoft to Hunstanton, saltmarshes and villages that seem to have stopped in time. The pretty, popular resorts of Blakeney & Wells form part of the largest coastal nature reserve in England and Wales, where common and grey seals, along with abundant birdlife will be spotted. From countryside to beach walks, cycle paths to the vibrancy of the City of Norwich.
The Lingwood area
Lingwood is a quiet country village set in the heart of Norfolk's Broads, providing easy access to the miles of waterways which make up one of England's finest National Parks. The nature reserves at Surlingham and Strumpshaw are close by and have waterside trails - a delight for walkers and nature lovers. Lingwood is also only eight miles from the fine city of Norwich, which as well as being steeped in history has a good array of shops, pubs, restaurants and leisure facilities. Also within a short drive is the sandy beach at the coastal village of Winterton-on-Sea. Piglets is located on the quiet edge of the village of Lingwood providing excellent walks from the doorstep. Lingwood has its own pub, post office, and convenience store. The railway station provides regular services to Great Yarmouth and to Norwich. There is also a regular bus service between the local villages. There are some good walks from the doorstep of Piglets whether you would like to birdwatch at the Strumpshaw RSPB reserve or take a walk through Burlingham Woods to the Fairhaven Water Garden.

From London, take the M11 followed by the A11 to Norwich. On reaching the A47 Norwich southern bypass take the A47 east towards Great Yarmouth. At the Blofield/Brundall roundabout take the first exit continuing along the A47, the road will go to single carriageway after about 1.5 miles. Continue for a further 2 miles then take the right turn at the White house signposted Lingwood. Follow the road into towards the village and take the 2nd left into South Burlingham Road, take the 3rd driveway on the left through the wooden gates and you will find Piglets directly in front of you.

Midweek bookings start on Tuesday and finish on Saturday (arrival from 4 p.m. - departure by 10 a.m.)
PLEASE NOTE that during Peak times midweek and weekend breaks may not be available.
A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking with the remaining balance due 8 weeks before arrival. Bookings made within 8 weeks of the arrival date must be paid for at the time of booking
Pets charged a £20 extra per booking, per pet - maximum 2 pets allowed.
Weekend and Midweek bookings are charged at 75% of the regular full week price.
Payments can be made either by bank transfer, by personal cheque or card payments via PayPal
A £100 damage deposit is payable 1 week before arrival and will be returned within a week of departure assuming that no damage has occurred or excess cleaning is required.
