The Lincolnshire region

First time visitors are surprised by the lovely countryside. Expecting it to be flat they discover the lovely rolling Wolds, beyond which is the coastline with wide, safe sandy beaches.

Lincoln is a beautiful cathedral city begging to be explored. The magnificent towers overlook the castle, both offering sweeping views across the landscape.

The Wolds are a peaceful retreat from modern life, enhanced by the Viking Way and sleepy villages, the ones Tennyson wrote of.

Lincoln

The lovely historic towns such as Lincoln, Louth, Horncastle not to mention others.

It is a county with plenty to see and do - Country houses, Gardens, Windmills, Walks, Antiques, Churches, Aviation heritage and museums, Cadwell Park, Golf and horse racing at Market Rasen.

The Clocktower cottage is centrally positioned to visit any of these attractions, or simply enjoy the peace, tranquillity and fresh air.

An award winning farm trail enables access across the farm, or sit by the trout lake in the evening sunset, with a glass of wine.

"Lovely cottage, full of character, ideal for a week's holiday."

A superb cottage with every facility you could require, within a beautiful setting. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the welcoming cake, crisps and bottle of wine was an added (and delicious!) bonus.
Lots to see and do in and around the local area. A thoroughly lovely week spent in the Lincolnshire Wolds

Many thanks for your visit. Hope to see you again
