The Heart of England / Peak District / Lincolnshire region

Lincolnshire is in the east of england and borders the counties of Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Rutlland, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire and East Riding of Yorkshire. It is the second largest county and is predominantly agricultural in land use. The county can be brokjen down into the fens and the Wolds. The county is home to some of the most well known seaside resorts in the UK; Skegness, Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe.
We are based at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds which is the highest point in eastern England between Yorkshire and Kent. They are designated an Area of Outstanding National Beauty. The fertile chalk hills have been shaped by agriculture for more than 4,000 years. They are great for biking, horse riding and walking.
The Lincoln area
We are 12 miles from the historic city of Lincoln, which is steeped in history, much of it dating back to Roman times. Perhaps the best-known attraction and landmark is Lincoln Cathedral along with the Castle and Steep Hill but beyond that the city boasts the medieval bailgate area with its array of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.
10 miles away is the largest antiques centre in Europe. It has been filmed and shown numerous times on the BBC’s Bargain Hunt. With 300 hundred display areas full of antiques and collectables you are sure to find a bargain in there somewhere.
Only 7 miles away is the race course which is nestled at the foot of the Wolds in the town of Market Rasen, which was once described by Charles Dickens as the ‘sleepiest town in England.’ It is the only race course in Lincolnshire and you are guaranteed some of the best viewing of any racecourse
